Installation instruction

Electronic Dust Catcher (EDC) is considered as highly efficient dust extraction


equipment. A series of guarantee measures are needed for it, such as appropriate
type, reasonable structure, polish manufacturing, correct installation, and
reliable operation, among which installation at the scene is an extremely important
step.
Because the structures of electronic dust catcher are in huge size, which are
not able to be transported in entirety. Most components of the catcher are assembled
to the greatest extent in the manufacturing factory before releasing. Finally, they
are installed into an entirety on the spot, so the quality of the installation will
directly influence the performance of electronic dust catcher. In addition, it is
big workload of catcher when installed on the spot, and also of high requirement,
so it is needed to pay more attention.
This instruction recommends some universal installation method and sequences
to the construction units, who can choose the more appropriate one according to the
actual circumstance and construction conditions on the spot. Beside that,
construction units can also adopt other installation methods and sequences,
but which should be conducted after negotiation with representatives of
building site dispatched by the manufacturing factory.
Construction units can formulate specific construction plans with
the help of the instruction and installation charts, including, staff’s
dispatching, construction equipment and tools, auxiliary materials,
components’ piling and construction sites and so on. Guarantee measures
of quality and dispatch of inspectors should also be included in the
construction plan.
In the process of installation, some of components are perhaps
inferior, which can be amended through filing, chipping, cutting, and
slicing. If all above measures are not in the standard as required by the
chart size, and some modification and size’s adjustment are needed to
be conducted to meet the standard of the charts, an discussion should be
carried on with representatives of the building site. If necessary, a
feedback will be made to the technological department of the manufacturing
factory by the representatives, and an adjustment will be conducted by
the construction units after a conclusion.
Finally it is noted that the instruction is an universal guiding
document, charts and diagrams in which are just hint and they can not
totally reflect the structure of the equipment. So please do not compare
those charts of diagrams with the equipment directly. Some concerning
installation charts can be consulted to gain knowledge of the specific
structure of equipment.

1. installation sequence of electronic dust catcher


Since electronic dust catcher is large-scaled outdoor equipment,
the circumstance and conditions are varied when installed on the spot,
with that staff and equipment condition of the construction units are
different too, construction unit may choose a more appropriate
installation sequence among some universal installation sequences of
the catcher that we recommend.
It is noted that, the instruction reflects the installation of
the whole set equipment of electronic dust catcher and some affiliated
devices. Some users may adopt some differential equipment styles, the
installation methods are just for consultations. For example, armored
concrete bracket are used in some electronic dust catcher, then the
sequence of steel bracket can be omitted, etc.

(3). Notices:
① .Pipes of entrance and exit and brackets are various in types, so the
construction method is determined by the construction unit itself, which are
not explained in details in the instruction.
②. Generally, Pipes of entrance and exit and brackets are interlace conducted
with the noumenon of the electronic dust catcher, which are installed after
the noumenon.
③. Installation should be conducted as required by the charts.
④. Cathode frame may be fixed temporarily, and firmed when anode suspension is
taken to the place.
⑤. Anode oscillation may be fixed temporarily, and welded when anode plate and
oscillated mast are adjusted and welded.
⑥ . Heat-preservation materials should be laid simultaneously with the
installation of roof, and pay attention to the water proof when construction
is conducted.
⑦ . ⑧The cover-board of roof should be combined reliably, especially the
fringes around, to avoid the top-plate lifted by the big wind.
⑧. If material quantity meter of nuclear radiation is to be installed, this
should be carried out by the experts from the manufacturing factory. It is
better conducted before installing the noumenon. Close the ray jaw after
installation completed, and open the ray jaw with all debugging work finished
and the catcher is run normally. It is particularly set for the issues about
safety.

2. Some items that should be paid attention to from the

equipment of EDC arrive till it is installed.


⑴ check:
When the goods are carried to the spot by the manufacturing factory as
contract required, construction units should check all the goods with users
and representatives from the manufacturing factory.
According to the package bills supplied by the representatives from the
factory, open the packaging box containing specially technology documents
(unnecessary if the documents are mailed), and check the items and quantity
of the documents on the catalogue. Then check the goods and quantity one by
one according to the packaging bill. Issues like finding shortfall or damage
of goods should be taken to table immediately and responsibilities are defined

clearly. The manufacturing factory is responsible for the lack or the damage
of goods and the fees is paid by the responsible party.
Make sure of the recovery of the box package after it is opened(especially
the equipment that can not be installed immediately), to avoid the erode or
rust of the product. The goods should be put slightly in the process of
installation, preventing damage by bumping, to ensure the product’s
installation quantity.

(2.) Safekeeping
All the goods are safe kept by the construction units after they are checked,.
Since the cycle of the EDC is long, construction units should store the goods
in types according to the essence of goods.
① Some fragile products, like insulation sleeves, insulation
porcelain-bearing, wall-penetration sleeves etc, should be stored indoor,
with piled reliably, and intact package.
② Motor, components of appliance, fastener and floodlight should be stored
indoor too, and pay attention to waterproof.
③ Generally speaking, cathode lines are expensive and also with well
packaged, which should be stored indoor, and well kept.
④ Anode plate may be stored outdoor, while which also should be of waterproof.
They ought to be piled up well, and separated from other goods, to avoid
being damaged by bumping.
⑤ Some big structured pieces like pillars, crosswise girder should be
straightly lain or side lain. Overlaps or lay other work pieces on the
structured pieces are not allowed, to avoid transmuted.
⑥ Other nude-packaged goods are stored indoor, and should be paid attention
to avoiding pinched and damage by bumping. And the storing ground ought
to be of sound foundation, flat without water. Lay crossties under the
components.
⑦ Notice the signs of the container, to avoid upending or overlaps.

(3). Preparation before installing EDC

① Prepare the staff’s dispatching, equipment at the sceneand the ground, and
the construction site. Arrange the site reasonably, with the purpose of
convenient construction and transportation, ensuring the quality of products
and reducing the fees of constructions.
② Check if the charts, files and technological documents are completed needed.
If there is a shortfall, contact with representatives on the construction site
for re-supply.
③ Check the quantity of the components at the sceneaccording to charts and
packaging bills, and manage to re-supply if finding a shortfall. All the
components are ought to be recorder by numbers, and piled by parts.

④ The piling ground at the sceneshould be flat, if not, fill it.


⑤ The components stored indoor should be paid attention of waterproof on the
spot. Build a simple construction canopy if necessary.
⑥ The size of all parts and components are ought to be checked as required by
the charts before installation. If they are not in the standard required by
the charts as a result of transportation or piling, should be adjusted by
construction unit before installation.
⑦ Remove the burr, rust, oil-dirty, etc on the assembly combined face of the
components.

3. Some universal requirements of EDC’s installation

(1). In the process of EDC’s installation, it is necessary to follow the


required size and tolerance in the charts and technological documents. If
some tolerances are not regulated, it need to in the standard required in
chatr1, chart2, chart3, and table1, table2.

(2). Welding symbol and tagging see national standards, and welding code(GB985-88,
GB986-88)

4. installation

(1). Basic exams

① Consider assumption parallel line (vertical to the crosswise core line of


boiler-house) as criterion, to measure the size between Line F and Line B or Line
C, see chart4, and make a record in table3.
② Measure the size between the vertical core line of boiler house to Line3, or Line8,
and make a record in table4.

③ Measure the angle values between Line EP1③ and EP2③ vertical LineF,
the deviation is allowed between 7+/- 20, and make a record in table5.
④ Measure the diagonal size between EP1 3A and EF2 8D(or 8E); measure
the diagonal size between EP2 8A and EP3D(3E), and make a record in
table6.
⑤ Measure each elevation; make a record in table7, the deviation is less
than +/- 3.
⑥ Measure the sizes between LineEP1③ / Line EP2③ to each foundation;
Measure the sizes of EP1, EP2B or Line C to each foundation; make a
record in table8.

(2). Steel bracket

①. Before the steel bracket is installed, make a cross line on each pillar
first, and make a sizing peg and sign on the cross fringes.
②. Take the pillars to the relevant places as required by charts of steel
bracket, and fix them with nuts temporarily. (lay 150mm thick wood
piece under the foundation) see chart5.
③. Install the cross supports, inclined s according to the chart, and
fix them with nuts first.
④. With all pillars, cross supports, inclined supports installed,
measure each pillar’s vertical value, and the deviation should be
less than 1/1000 of the height of the pillar; measure the size of
adjacent pillars, and the deviation should be less than +/-5mm;
measure diagonal size of the pillars, the deviation should be less
than +/-5mm. If not, it needs to be adjusted and fasten nuts.
⑤. Do welding according to the charts.
⑥. Conduct the cement’s pouring on the foundation for the second time.
⑦. When installing each pillar, temporary bracket may be used to support
the pillar, and are dispatched when welding the entirety.

(3).support bearing

① Check the type number and quantity of each bearing, and pile them
in classification.
② Make a cross line on each pillar according to the component charts
of support bearing, with adminicula point as a criterion, and make
a mark.
③ Make cross line on the deck plate of bearing (or plane of steel plate)
and bottom plate, and make marks.
④ Take guiding bearing and universal bearing to the places on the deck plate of
steel plate according to the charts, and coincides two cross lines, and adjust
and leer size of deck plate of bearing (or plane of steel plate), the deviation is
less than +/-3mm.

⑤ Weld the bearings when they are positioned.


⑥ In the whole process of EDC’s installation, deck plate of bearing should be
fixed temporarily on the deck plate of steel plate. And dispatch them when all
above are installed.

(4). Dust container girder

① Check the crosswise girder and vertical girder of dust container


first. Adjust them if they are blended.
② Make cross lines on the pillar’s bottom plate of dust container
and deck plate, and make a record.
③ Position each pillar foot to the deck plate of bearing according
to the charts. Coincide the upside cross line and downside cross
line. Pay attention to the direction of pillar foot, and then
install the crosswise girder and vertical girder.
④ Measure the sizes and diagonal size between the pillars. Adjust them if they
are not suited to the standard of the charts
⑤ Weld as required by the charts after the adjustment. Weld bottom plate of pillar
first, then crosswise girder and vertical girder. Follow the orders to avoid the
shift or shape change when welding.
According to the first installation sequence, dust container should be installed
on the ground and then string it to the place.

(5). Preparation of dust container’s installation


According to the second sequence of installation, cathode frame should be ①
lifted from downward to upward through the position of dust container, so dust
container should not be installed first.

① After the dust container girder is installed, string the upside plate of dust
container to the dust container girder according to the charts. Dust container is
not installed temporarily. Install the dust container and anode plate when
cathode frame is installed in the crust. Side plates are not installed in the support
plate of dust container girder temporarily.
② Check the diagonal size of the bottom of dust container. If there is
dust-transportation system wares ( such as air plate), it can be installed first.

(6). Crust

①. In order to reduce the work load of assembly in the high altitude, pillars, cross
girder, and inclined girder should be installed into an entirety according to the
charts, and avoiding the transmutation when stringing.
②. Make cross line on the bottom of the pillars, and make marks.
③. String the pillars( including the crust pieces pre-installed) to the pillar’s foot of
dust container girder in orders. Coincide the up cross line and down cross line

and fix them.


④. Measure the vertical value, the size of pillars, sizes of diagonals when installed.
Weld them if qualified. The requirements of measurement see the charts and
chart 6 in the instruction.
⑤. Check and adjust the side plates before they are installed. The deviation should
be less than +/-7mm, and flatness should be less than +/-5mm. Install them
from down to upside, with gable plate installed simultaneously. Attention:
up-side plate is the installation criterion of the whole catcher, which is
installed from down to up, so it need to avoid the accumulated tolerance.
Measure the height when each floor is installed, in order to control the position
of up-side plate.
⑥. Combine the vertical girders into an entirety on the ground, and string to the
places when the vertical value reaches the standard, and then the roof plate of
the crosswise girder is installed. Simultaneously, measure the size of cathode
suspension points, the diagonal sizes. Both of them should be follow the
standards of the charts. See chart 7.
⑦. After the pillars, side plates, vertical girders and the roof plate of crosswise
girder are installed as required by the charts, weld the side plates with pillars
and roof plates, and the crust’s welding is very important. As required by the
charts, the densification of welding line is needed, to avoid the phenomenon of
air-leakage when running.
⑧. Install and weld other components as required by the charts.
⑨. Weld other roof plates when inside pieces are installed, that is to leave the
central room of electric field on the top.
⑩. In the process of assembly, check the components time by time, and rectify
the assembly sizes and quality when concerning problems arise.
. Scaffold needs to be installed when conducted in the high altitude in the
process of installation, be safe!

(7). Ladder platform

In the process of construction, in order to supply convenience to the staffs,


ladder platform needs to be installed as soon as possible. Ladder platform
includes roof platform, loudspeaker of entrance (or loudspeaker of exit)
platform, anode oscillation platform, transition platforms and walker ladder.
① The ladders under the anode oscillation platform can be
installed as required by charts with steel bracket and dust
container girder installed.
② Anode oscillation platform should be installed after the side
plate of crust and gable plate are installed.
③ Other platforms and walker ladder are installed at the same
time with crust installed.
④ The baluster of roof ladder can be installed when the cover

of out-roof is installed.
⑤ When installing ladder platform, it needs to be welder
reliably and sound. Non-fusion is not allowed. The welding
ling on the baluster should be burnished glabrous. Each
corner should be of glabrous transition. If grid plates are
laid on the platform, it ought to be installed in the latter
period of equipment’s installation, to avoid damage. Lay the
grid plates on the platform as required by charts, and fix
them with placing the aluminum paint on the junctions.

(8). Cathode framework, cathode oscillation

① Before the cathode framework is installed, check the flatness of


the upside bracket, middle bracket, downside bracket, and the
vertical value of the support girder. If the deviation exceeds
the standard required by charts, adjust it. All the surface of
components of cathode framework should be glabrous, remove the
burr and spatter etc.
② Set a workbench on the height of 5m inside the crust. Firstly,
install the support girder and upside bracket on the workbench;
and check the diagonal size of the truee, the deviation should
be less than +/- 3mm. The size of the upside brackets should be
less than the deviation required by charts, and then weld then
as required. See chart8.
③ Fix four steel poles according to the suspension position of
cathode mast, and pull the poles through the suspension hole of
the rood. Firstly, list upside truee, and install the vertical
girder. By avoiding vertical’s bumping with pillar foot of the
dust container, it can be moved a little to the side and adjusted
to the position as required by the chart when all the frame work
is lift higher than the dust container. Manual or
electrodynamics’ calabash may be used when lifting the steel
poles, 4 calabashes are needed by each frame. Coordinate the
action, see chart9.
④ List the frame work again. Middle bracket’s installation sees
chart10. The same as upside bracket, it is material welded when
the measurement size reaches the standard. After that, cathode
oscillation bearing and bearings are installed, with ensuring the
size of oscillation bearing of 25. Then, install the ladders and
masts and so on, without welded temporarily. When the cathode
oscillation bearing is installed, adjacent hammers should be of
difference of 210°.
⑤ Keeping listing the framework, the same as above, middle bracket
and oscillation bearing’s installation sees chart11. Install

cathode transmissions when finishing installing two rows of


oscillation bearings. ( see also paragraph 19)
⑥ Lift the cathode framework to the position. Install the downside
bracket, cut short two downside brackets to the side.(see
chart12)
⑦ Finally, check the diagonal size of three direction of cathode
framework, see chart 13, chart14, and weld the stringed girder
after adjusted.
⑧ String or support the cathode framework on the temporary bracket
after installed, and pull onto the string mast when cathode
strings are installed. Dispatch the temporary bracket after the
adjustment.
⑨ Fasten the cathode oscillation with nuts, and weld it when the
whole cathode part is adjusted.
According to the first sequence, install the dust container and
anode plate first after installing the crust dust container
girder, and then install the side plate of crust, gable plate,
and vertical girder. Before the roof plate is installed, assemble
the cathode framework first on the ground, including cathode
oscillation. After that, string it into the crust entirely, and
lay on the temporary bracket. Take the anode frame work to the
place when anode string is installed. Attention: string the whole
anode framework into the crust before the roof plate is installed,
or it can not conducted.

(9). Cathode suspension


① Install the dust guard under the support flange inside the
couveuse, matching the center of the suspension hole.
② put the fiberglass rope and asbestos rope on support insulation
sleeves for two circles. And affix them with 502glue.
③ sting the framework with listing mast through the suspension
hole of cover plate- couveuse, and install the hanged mast.
Dispatch the lifting mast when finishing installation.
④ Finally, hand over the listing mast to the user, and use it when
maintaining.

(10). Cathode line

BS new typed corona line is universally adopted in LZC-typed


EDC, it is a key component. It should be installed and adjusted
as required by the chart, and do not be careless.
① Though the cathode line has been packaged before releasing by the
rule, be careful in the process of carrying and installation, to

avoid blending or bumping.


② Cathode is painted with anti-ruse oil before releasing; it should
be washed carefully before installed in order to remove oil film
and rust.
③ Check then cathode lines one by one before they are installed. The
phenomenon of corona’s falling is not allowed, and the flatness
and the size of corona’s opening are suitable for the standard
required by the chart. If not, adjust them.
④ Find the exact position when installing the cathode line to the
framework. Special attention: one side with corona is piece welded,
This should be affixed to the combined steel plate of the frame,
according to the chart.
⑤ Combined the cathode line with the combined-steel plate of
framework by M10*25nuts. Use moment spanner instead of common
spanner when installing. Special attention: then moment of one
terminal (round hole) of the combined plate-mill on the cathode
line should be 2kg.m, fastened completely; the moment of the other
terminal (waist hole) of the cathode line should be 1.6kg.m,
fastened properly, in order to re-supply the relevant displacement
generated by dilatometer.
⑥ Measure the size between two fume-pipe cathode lines, if it is in
the scope of 400+/-10,and adjust it when the size is not in the
scope.
⑦ Measure each fume-pipe when the anode plate is installed, and
measure the distance between pole line and pole plate. The
measurement method and requirements see ‘JB/TQ490-86 the
measurement method of installation deviation of EDC’s cathode and
anode’s distance. The results should be suitable to the above
standard; it is a key point to ensure the efficiency of the EDC.

(11). Dust container:


① Assemble the upside plate of the dust container into an entirety.
② String the small dust container to the position, and combine it
with upside plate as an entire dust container. Pay attention to
the exam door of the dust container, and pre-position it with nuts.
③ Exam and measure the elevation of the dust container’
④ Weld the dust containers girder and dust container as required
by the charts when they are suitable for the standard. Weld the
dust container girder reliably and sound and welding line should
be kept capsulation absolutely, sequenced and flat.

(12). Anode oscillation


① According the charts of anode oscillation and the installation
chart, mark the cored lines of the first and the last anode plate

of the electric field as required by the charts.


② Mark the installation position of bumping mast lead rail according
to the charts.
③ Install the bumping mast lead rail by the drawn lines. Attention:
dispatch and weld the two sessions of lead rails into one.
④ Install the lead rail plates, keep the jag size in the scope of
400+/-4. Weld the deck plates of lead rail with side plate.
⑤ Lay the bumping mast in the jag, and fix temporarily.
⑥ Install the support bracket. String the support bracket onto the
crust temporarily without being positioned. Attention; when
combining the interfaces of oscillation bearings, the hammers are
separated by 210°. Position the support bracket when the anode
plate and oscillated mast are combined.

(13). Anode suspension


① Draw the cored line of electric field on the crosswise girder
of roof plate according to the charts,( that is the core of
lifting hook of suspension bracket) and draw the position of
suspension bracket according to the deviation value between the
angle steel and cored line on the charts. Position the angle
steel by the suspension bracket hole, and fix it temporarily.
② String the suspension bracket into the crust, and fix the
suspension and angle steel on to the girders with nuts.
③ Measure the size among the suspensions. The sizes should be kept
in the scope of 400+/-1, if not, adjust them.
④ Attention: the direction of suspension bracket in the first
electric field is different from suspension brackets in other
electric fields.
⑤ Sting and install I-typed girder, and take it to the position
according to the charts. Weld it with suspension bracket, and
install other base bracket and the other I-typed crosswise girder.
⑥ Finally, check the installation size of the suspension, and weld
it as required.

(14) Installation of anode plate


① Check all the anode plates before they are installed, and adjust
those transmuted plates caused by transportation and piling till they
reach the standard required by the charts.
② All adjustments are conducted by cold-processing with the
rubber hammer weighted about 700g,. The bracket used when adjusting
see chart 16, is self-made on the spot. String the anode plate with
the particular hook on to the bracket, see chart17.
③ Exam by visual inspection, and see over along the anode plates’

fringes. Check the vertical value and other transmuted


circumstance of the anode plates. Adjust any deviation with rubber
hammer. Turn anode plate around 180°after the upside fringe is
checked, and then check and adjust the other side

④ Combine the anode plate and lead rail together on the ground with
nuts and fix them by welding.
⑤ Clip a group of plates with three U-typed framework when
installing the anode plates(see product plates installation
tools) into an entirety, to avoid bending aside when the plate
are stringed. In order to prevent the damage when the plate
terminals are stringed, an bracket that can be move around may
be used. Lay plates on the bracket, and string the bracket slowly,
see chart18. when the anode plates are lifted to the vertical
position, move them above the EDC’s electric field. Support the
anode plate by hands, knock it into the electric dust catcher
(attention: do not touch the cathode framework and cathode lines).
Relax the U-typed framework when knocking the plate. When the
plate reaches the bottom and is positioned inside the angle steel
of oscillation mast, put the anode plate on the suspension hook,
and see chart18.
⑥ Install the plates from middle to the sides, at the same time, consider
the weather conditions on the spot(the wind speed is less than 7m/s). The
plate will move when wind is too big, and it leads to the difficult of
installation.

⑦ Combined the plates with oscillation mast with Hooke nuts when the
plates are installed. If they are transmuted, adjust them.
⑧ Check the size of anode plate verse cathode framework. Check the
medium row of anode plates are coincides with the core of electric
field. Check the size bumping mast verse the cathode framework and
lead rail of bumping mast. If they are not suitable, adjust the
position of cathode framework and lead rail of bumping mast, see
chart20.
⑨ Position the support of cathode oscillation, and adjust the position
of oscillation, to make sure the core of oscillated hammer coincided
with that of oscillation anvil. And then fix and weld the oscillated
bracket.

(15). Loudspeaker of entrance an the distributed plate of entrance


① adjust the side plates before the loudspeaker is installed, the
deviation should be less than +/- 5mm, and then pre-install into 3 sessions
according to the chart(sometimes 2 sessions)
② Measure each loudspeaker, the sizes of big and small jag, diagonal

size at while pre-instillation is conducted.


③ assemble each session into an entirety, and install other components
④ Measure the size of each loudspeaker, and weld them as required by
the charts,. Welding lines inside should be kept in capsulation an
sequence.
⑤ Exam the loudspeaker of the entrance welded, adjust them if
transmuted.
⑥ Draw lines in the loudspeaker before the loudspeaker of entrance is
installed, and install distributed plate according to the
distributed plates.
⑦ The hole-door on the distributed plate is sheared from the original
one, and made into an adult hole-door, which should be glabrous.
⑧ Weld loudspeakers and distributed plates when installed according
to the charts.
⑨ Deflector can be hanged on first, and adjusted according to the
experiment result on airflow distribution. Finally, weld them.
⑩ After all the loudspeaker of entrance and distributed plates are
installed, draw the positioning lines on the crust according to the
elevation size of core line of loudspeakers. String and install the
entirety on the crust.
⑪ Weld the loudspeaker and the crust according to the charts. Keep in
capsulation.
Attention: fix the loudspeaker with temporary bracket before it is
stringed, and avoid being transmuted when stringing.

(16). Loudspeaker of exit and groove shape plate


① install the suspension girder on the gable plate outside the exit
of crust according to the charts.
②install the groove shape plate on the suspension hook, and fix them
with nuts.
③ Install the support bracket. Fix one terminal on the crosswise
support of crust, with the other combined with angle steel.
④ Weld them according to the charts.
Install the loudspeakers of exit after the groove shape plate of exit
is installed.
⑤ Adjust each side plate before installation, the deviation should be
less than +/-5mm. after that, pre-install them on the platform, and
pre-install the loudspeakers into an entirety.
⑥ Measure each loudspeaker, the sizes of big and small jag, diagonal
size at while pre-instillation is conducted.
⑦ Install other components according to size requirements of the charts.
⑧ Measure the height size and other sizes after the entirety is installed. Weld them
according to the charts, and keep the welding lines in sequences.

⑨ Exam the loudspeaker of exit welded, adjust it if transmuted.


⑩ After all the loudspeaker of exit and distributed plates are
installed, draw the positioning lines on the crust according to the
elevation size of core line of loudspeakers. String and install the
entirety on the crust.
Attention: fix the loudspeaker with temporary bracket before it is
stringed, and avoid being transmuted when stringing.

(17) Out-roof and oil road

① Firstly, string the roof cover to the top of the crust according to the chart,
assemble it and weld in capsulation.
② String the top cover onto the roof according to the charts. Except for fixed point, position
the foundations of roof with angle steel. See charts.
③ Install the channel steel after the top cover is positioned. Combine one terminal with nuts
and weld the other one.
④ Weld the I-typed steel on to the roof according to the chart of oil road. Weld oil basin and
foundations of bracket (steel pipe) on to I-type steel. Measure the position of the
foundation and lay the oil pipe simultaneously. Weld the pipes without leakage.
⑤ Lay the pattern steel plate and corrugation plate. Weld the pattern steel plate in
capsulation. And combined with rivets when corrugation plate is used.
⑥ Carefully install and weld oil pipes, oil basin and foundation of brackets when they
penetrate the pattern steel plate and corrugation plate. The welding lines should be in
capsulation.
⑦ Assemble oil road according to charts, and leakage in the junctions of all pipes is not
allowed.

(18). Exam-door
There are four types of exam-door, two types of indoor, the same as outdoor, which are
used on the crust and dust container.
① The exam-door of dust container has been installed when assembling the bottom
of container. Then, install the heating device.
② Install the exam-door of crust when assembling the side plates of crust on
the spot. Attention the opening direction of the exam-door.
③ Check if the installation size of the exam-door is correct; if the
installation position is levered, and incline is not allowed.
④ The exam-door should be feasible after installed, without being blocked,
and also good in capsulation.

(19) Cathode transmission


① cathode transmission apparatus is divided into inside part and outside
part(or upside and downside part) with roof as boundary. Cathode transmission
1 is installed inside the catcher, and cathode transmission 2 is installed
on the roof.

② install transmission bearing onto the cathode framework girder, and draw the
positioning line before installation.
③ assemble each session of transmission apparatus and enclosures in to
component. Attention assembly direction of each component and control the
size of vertical girders to be 165. Weld the upside transmission bearing and
downside one.
④ Measure others and check if the assemble size are correct after all above
finished. Attention: make sure of the size to be 127,262, and weld them
according to the charts.
⑤ Install all components of cathode transmission 2 on to the dust guard, and
ensure the cores of upside bearing and downside bearing are on the same line
(As adjusting device of concentric value of axis shows), and then weld the couveuse and
dust guard welded on to the roof.
⑥ install the sub-bearing according to the installation instruction of
insulation sub-bearing.(see design chart)
⑦ Adjust the positions of the transmission bearings with wedge after the insulation
sub-bearing. Position it by welding and then take out the wedge.
⑧ Exam the whole cathode transmission. Check if the bearing rami is feasible; if the joggle
is correct and if the oscillation is matching to the bumping head.

(20). Anode transmissions


① before installing the anode transmission, lay the asbestos soft plate in
the bracket of crust’s downside plate.
② assemble all components according to the chart. Attention: match the cores
of combined pieces, and press them flatly with twitch-up.
③ measure and check if the distance between bottom bracket and the center of
transmission bearing is correct. Pay attention to the installation
direction of cycloid pinwheel speed-down device.
④install the shaft coupling on to the bearing, and install the cycloid pinwheel
speed-down device on the transmission bottom bracket. Speed-down device and
anode transmission should be concentric. If not, press it flat with shim.
⑤ When all above are installed, check if movement of the bearing is feasible,
if the oscillation matches to the bumping head. Finally, install the
waterproof guard and cover plate.

(21) couveuse:
① install the advanced wire box on the couveuse of roof with symmetry. Pay
attention to the installation direction; make sure that the advanced wire
box is in good earth connection and reliable insulation.
② install electric heater, wall-piercing casing and so on. Notice: the inter
and outer of the couveuse should be of heat preservation on the spot.
③ transformer and other electric parts, see the factory’s electrical
installation manual.

(22). Cover house (if there is cover-house)


① position the pillar foot and weld it with crust when the roof is installed
according to the charts.
② pillar has two fixed points, and others are movable fulcrum, which must
be addressed.
③ install the pillar, crosswise support and inclined support, etc in
sequence according to the charts.
④ install the monorail crosswise girder on the pillar foot.
⑤ install the cover-house roof. Attention: the top cover is combined with
truee of roof. Lay the cover plate from up to down to avoid rain leakage.
Finally install the rain tanker.
⑥ check if installation sizes of each component is correct, and fasten the
nuts. Weld them reliably according to the chart.

(23). Monorail crane.

① if there is no cover-house, then hanger of monorail is needed. The


hanger’s installation is the same as cover-house that; pillar and
crosswise girder are installed first.
② Weld the monorail girder (generally it is I-typed steel) into an
entirety according to the chart, and then weld it to the crosswise
girder of roof.
③ Install other components. Installation of electrodynamics calabash
and bumper see the product instruction manual of Shanghai Crane
Equipment Manufacturer.

(24). Insulation:
① the function of insulation is particularly important. If it doer not perform well, or it
is of invalidation, which lead to dew congealing, rust, or cause the components
transmuted. All above will influences the performance of the product.
② the installation of insulation may see the partly typical example of the chart. Pay
particular attention to the corners and so on, and ensure the depth of the heat
preservation materials. Install the materials by delimitations and the welding
lines are separately to prevent the dissipation of heat. The ash water calandria of
ash entrance of the dust container must be carefully kept of insulation, avoiding
the dust-block of the container’s entrance.
③ fix the heat preservation materials reliably, to avoid its falling by oscillation.
Weld the round pin on the side plate or support, and the heat preservation materials
pierce through the round pin, with the gasket added. Finally, blend or weld the pins.
④ All the surface of the materials should be laid by corrugation plates. Pay attention
to the flow direction of rainwater, lay the corrugation plates from up to side to
avoid rainwater’s entering the insulation.
⑤ It is simple to fix the corrugation plates, just weld the angle steel and the round

pins. The interval size of angle steel sees charts. Angle steel is combined with
riveting gun with corrugation plates in order.
⑥ When installing the heat preservation materials and corrugation plates on some
dead corners, such as support of walker ladder platform, oscillation transmission,
exam door, etc, in order to make the out-wall tidy and nice.
⑦ In the process of heat preservation, where some details are not regulated in the
charts. The construction units may decide the installation methods according to
the actual circumstance.

(25) Enclosure of dust container (if that exists)


① install the brackets firstly. There are several type length of
bracket, and they should be assembled and weld according to the
technological request required by the charts.
② Install the channel steel; combine and weld them with nuts.
③ Install the corrugation plates, combined plates, and angle plates.
The same as angle steel lay them from upside to downside.
④ The fixing method of corrugation plate is the same as that of
insulation.
⑤ Install the door according to the charts, and make sure the door
installed feasible without being blocked.
⑥ The junction between the protecting-corrugation plates outside the
dust container enclosure should be combined carefully with that
outside the insulation.

(26) Final exams


When the electric dust catcher is totally installed, check all
components according the charts. Check is the installation of the
component is consonant to the charts; if some components are not
yet installed; if some nuts or bolts are not fastened; if some
welding lines have been yet weld, and so on. Pay special attention
to some aspects as follows:
① Exam the support bearing, steel brackets, and pillar feet are weld.
② Exam the capsulation of the crust. If the welding lines inside the
crust are weld. check the capsulation of exam-door, couveuse and
loudspeaker of entrance, etc which are easy to be of air-leakage.
③ Check the capsulation of welding lines inside dust container, and
the size between side plates of dust container and ampere-hinder
plate.
④ Check if the inside wall of couveuse is painted and the capsulation
of its cover. Check if it is clean inside and outside of the support
insulation sub-bearing; if there is any imperfection; if nuts and
bolts are fastened.
⑤ Check the sizes of the bottom of entrance distributed plate and the

downside plate of entrance loudspeaker. Check nuts and bolts of


suspension of distributed plates are fastened.
⑥ Check if the support of anode framework is fixed and fastened; if
the dust guard is skewing the centrality; if all the nuts and bolts
are point-welded; if the temporary bracket is dispatched.
⑦ Check is the fixed bolts and nuts of two terminals of Line BS are
welded. If not, weld them. Attention particularly: check the
interval between anode and cathode according to ‘JB/TQ490-86
the measurement method of installation deviation of EDC’,
ensuring that it reaches the standard.
⑧ Check if the installation of oscillation bearing and
bearing base are vertical; if the nuts on the bearing base
are point-welded. Check if oscillation hammer is able to
free-fall; if the position of oscillation is correct; if
the meshing movement of pinwheel is correct.
⑨ Check the anode plate is hanged into the hook. Check the
circumstance of positioning lead rail of the anode plate;
check if there is sufficient room in the anode lead rail
for elongation of bumping mast below the anode plate;
check if distance between anode plate and cathode plate is
in the scope of 200+/- 10mm.
⑩ Check the capsulation of exam door; check if the door is
feasible to open and close; ensure that the nuts in the exam
door are not blocked
Make a record after all inspections, and list the problems arisen,
all of which will be solved one by one and recorded in the files
for the future references. Some EDC are made certain structured and
functional changes according to the user’s requirements, whose
installation will be elaborated by the technical staff from the
manufacturer when they are installing classification at the scene.
