drain ceiling clean-out for fan coil drains located at all common comfort
rooms.
The mechanical method statement defines the method that will be used
to ensure the purposed of the condensate drain ceiling clean-out for the
condensate drain work system comprising all the pipes, fittings, supports
and hangers, all accessories and components will be installed, as an
integrated piping system.

All materials and documentation relevant to condensate drain ceiling

clean-out piping works will be checked by the site engineers/supervisor
prior to the commence of work ensuring that these are of the correct
type as per approved submittals and approved by the client.

5 Sequence of Work

Site supervisors will coordinate with the building admin engineering

team before commencing works to make sure no further damages will
happen.

Ensure that all fan coil units (FCU) that connected to the condensate
drain line are not functioning or not in operation. This will prevent the
flooding during the installation of the ceiling clean-out.

 Make a manhole on ceiling near the condensate ceiling clean-

out to be installed.
 Clear area above ceiling before commences on works such
electrical wires and other obstruction for the works.
 Cut the condensate drain line, drain the remaining condensate
water, clean and dry the cut pipes before connecting the UPVC
WYE fittings then apply adhesive on both ends. Cut a UPVC pipes
around 100mm to 200mm then connect to the fittings and install
the clean-out on the end of the UPVC nipple.
 Cure the adhesive first and then coordinate to the engineering
admin team for the flow test.
 The flow test passes and proceeds to insulate the installed
condensate ceiling clean-out.
 Cut the rubber insulation properly and apply rubber cement for
the connection on both ends. After connected tape it with aero
tape on the jointed end to make sure no condensate water will
flow on the joints.
 Wrap the finished insulated ceiling clean-out with polyethylene
tape.

6. Safety

1. Prior to commencement, all activities shall be coordinated with the

project safety officer, who will assess the associated risks if any, and
monitor the implementation of the project safety plan and liaise with the
construction team to ensure a safe working environment.

2. The safety officer in charge to ensure that all workers are equipped with
