OBJECTIVES
Forming sentences in present
progressive tense using adverbs of
place.
An adverb of place always talks about the location where the action of the verb is being carried out.

Put the cake there.


After a long day at work, we headed homewards.
Please bring that book here.
My grandfather’s house is nearby.
Come inside so that you won´t get wet.
We wait her on the other side of the river.

Let’s read some examples:

She is putting the flower base there.


They are bringing the drinks inside.
Are you moving nearby?
I’m not going too far, don’t worry!
It’s raining, please come inside.
Watch out! There is a car coming behing you.
Rodolfo is waiting outside.
We are walking along in a line.
The bank is across from the post office.
I’m going there without you.
We are sitting on the chair.

It is the afternoon and the family is at home.

TV in the living room. Katherine´s in the garden playing football
with Margaret´s brothers. Anna´s brother and sister
are playing with their trains in the attic. William´s in
the kitchen. He´s making coffee with two of his cousins.
