By understanding the significance of multidimensional care in nursing practice, I was able to develop

skills for safe, effective multidimensional nursing practice when delivering fundamental care and
comfort to patients. Caregivers in a region where the number of people from different ethnic
backgrounds is increasing should make an effort to learn about those cultures. I have improved my
ability to provide quality treatment to patients by learning new techniques for communicating
effectively across cultural boundaries (Heath, Rubinstein, Stange, & Driel, 2009).

By studying the side effects of immobility including constipation and decreased respiratory vital capacity,
I was able to develop the competence to choose the right nursing interventions when delivering
multidimensional care to clients suffering variations in mobility. In this unit, I learned new skills and got
insight into the best treatments to recommend for patients with mobility issues. With this information in
hand, I'll be more equipped to assess and treat a client with mobility issues (Heath et al., 2009).

I was able to demonstrate competence in describing multimodal nursing care for clients with
musculoskeletal disorders because I took an interest in assisting people with musculoskeletal diseases
and sought to learn about the most effective methods for treating them (Alexopoulos, Stathi, &
Charizani, 2004). This expanded my understanding of the root causes of musculoskeletal problems and
their many manifestations. Having this understanding will allow me to better connect with customers
who are experiencing musculoskeletal issues.

By learning how to care for patients with sensory and perceptual impairments, I was able to
demonstrate my skill in prioritizing techniques for safe, effective multidimensional nursing practice. I
learned more about sensory processing disorders, their root causes, and the diagnostic process. With
this information in hand, I'll be more equipped to deal with individuals who have sensory issues and
ensure their safety (Heath et al., 2009).

Understanding the significance of the integumentary system helped me acquire the knowledge and skills
necessary to apply this information when providing safe and effective nursing care to patients with
integumentary disorders. Intact skin provides a natural defense against germs, viruses, and other
potentially harmful substances, as I recently discovered. What I've learned here will help me counsel
clients more effectively who are struggling with these conditions.

By studying what causes immunologic, infectious, and inflammatory disorders and how patients with
these conditions can be helped to recover, I was able to demonstrate competence in describing
strategies for safe, effective multidimensional nursing practice when caring for patients with these
conditions (Hsue, Deeks, & Hunt, 2012). This training taught me the skills I needed to help clients who
were experiencing these conditions in a secure and productive manner. Having this background will
allow me to better connect with clients of this type (Heath et al., 2009).
