1) Aid recovery from strenuous play (i.e. Games).
2) Increase blood flow to fatigued muscles.
3) Remove waste products from muscles caused by use.

Instructions Activation Recovery

1) Training Area (20x15yrds required).


2) 4 Activity Stations are positioned on the outside the edge of the area,
with six players working around the circuit through the stations performing
various agility/SAQ exercises.
3) 4 Activity Stations include: Slalom Run, 1ft Hurdle Bounds, 1/2 Hurdle
Bounds, SAQ Ladder exercises.
4) Work to rest ratio is 1:1 (90sec work periods).
5) Progress onto technical ball work integration (refer to progressions). One
player actively resting as a serving player for a partner.
6) Circuit can be followed by a period of static stretching as part of a
recovery or regeneration session.

2) Focus on executing technique over speed when in the activity stations.
