Job Responsibilities:

 Conducts a daily field audit/ monitoring on all scaffolding activities.

 Ensures scaffolding employees are with valid certificates and working in
accordance with safety requirements. i.e. Work Permit, using the right tools, PPE
(Full Body Harness), etc.
 Visits the Work area and monitor the erection of scaffold. Ensures scaffold being
erected/dismantled/modified are in safe manner.
 Immediately corrects any scaffolding deviations, i.e. incomplete braces, no tag,
etc during the process of scaffolding erections.
 Checks erected scaffolds (with checklist). Approves/signs Green scaffolding tags
denoting that scaffold is “SAFE TO USE”, while yellow tag, if scaffold is with
incomplete Guardrail or some part missing just because of structure. Any erected
scaffold that does not meet the standard shall not be tagged with Green or
Yellow.
 Scaffolds with Green or Yellow tags shall be regularly inspected on weekly basis.
The Green or Yellow tag shall be immediately calling the attention of the
concerned scaffolding contractor to modify or rectify the scaffold.
 Regularly checks the Contractor scaffolding yards to ensure good housekeeping
is being maintained.
 Inspect scaffolding materials (with checklist) on monthly basis, and ensure all
scaffolding defective materials are removed off the site.
 Inspect scaffolding PPE such as Full Body harnesses are in good conditions and
safe to use.
 Participates in HSE walkthrough. Initiates incident report if necessary.
 Prior to erection of special scaffold, i.e. More than 38 meters high, to make sure
that the scaffold is with design prepared by civil or Structural Engineer.
 Maintain a log book to record all scaffold being erected. Modified, and
dismantled.
