A BLOG ABOUT THE NURSING EXPERIENCE

Covid-19 is one of the most dangerous and contagious flu-like diseases in the U.S. . It caused many
people to get vaccinated, have social distance within six feet, be quarantined, and wear a mask. How did
nurses gain the courage to put themselves at risk for covid when caring for a covid patient? We all must
realize that most nurses have a passion for bettering other people’s well-being and helping them get well.
 
Nurses must understand that all patients must be treated equally with respect no matter what. With
psychology implanted in your brain, you are curious to learn more about the mind and body functions
and what generates problems or how to make them function properly. If someone has covid, their
immune system is not strong enough to fight it off.   
Thirteen nurses selected from three different hospitals whom all cared for covid patients were collected
to give psychological responses from their experiences. The method used was interviewing either face to
face, via video call, or via online applications. The results were cumulated into three psychological
responses: constantly stressed, happy to help patients recover, and gaining spiritual relief from God.
 
Psychology helps nurses to provide the best care to patients and be able to communicate with them
properly. It also allows you to know when you are stressed with working with patients on contact
precautions to give the best possible care to yourself when you get off to return to work ready to take
care of patients. Gaining spiritual belief from God is also a form of self-preserving that will keep you on
the right track to ensure patients are satisfied.
