POSITION: Process Manager

TENURE: One (01) year contract (renewable)

REPORTS TO: Project Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the Process Team, provide technical advice and guidance in the development and review of critical process design
deliverables such as Process Design Package, Basic & Detail Engineering Packages and other deliverables related to FEED
and EPC phases of the project.
• Steer work of FEED contractor for development of Basis of Design for the new project.
• Assess new technology and advise on suitability and value improvement for the project. Takes initiative in identifying and
resolving complex technical and execution issues.
• Provide technical advice and guidance in the development/review of process write-ups, process parameters, heat and
material balance, PFDs, P&IDs, duty specifications, equipment sizing / process data sheets and calculations
• Support Licensors engagement, selection and liaison during development of Process Design packages. Maintain effective
communication with FEED/EPC Contractors and Process Licensors.
• Hands on experience on: Process Simulation on refining models; Linear programming models; developments for scoping
of different studies.
• Leads from owner’s side development of PFD, P&ID’s, and reviews such as HAZID/HAZOP/HAZCON/PHA/PSSR/LOPA/SIL,
provide necessary inputs. Support development and review of Process Control Narrative document and Cause & Effect
document, including identifying potential operational and safety related problems.
• Lead and ensure application of all HSEQ and THSE aspects as per Company Policy/industry best practices from FEED
through EPC phases.
• Leads Environmental Protection activities such as ESIA, Risk studies and various related reviews.
• Support construction, commissioning, and start-up efforts, draft operating procedures and provide operator training
manual input.
• Shall have the ability/acumen to foresee potential roadblocks/complex issues and implement timely solutions to avoid
delays.
• Enable conducive environment and promote healthy interaction within the project team and external colleagues, senior
management, contractors, government agencies/authorities etc to ensure seamless project progress.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: B.E / B.Sc. (Chemical)

Experience: 20+ Years of related extensive process management experience for mega projects in the refining / petrochemical
industry through FEED and EPC phases with 10+ years in a similar role.

Technical Competencies: Awareness & understanding of applicable Codes & International Standards. Essential Experience in
developing process design of large-scale complex refinery and petrochemical plants through FEED and EPC phases. Established
capability and experience to lead process engineering activities for Refinery/ Petrochemical and other projects of similar nature
& scale during FEED and EPC phases. Working knowledge of process software applications like UNISIM, HYSYS, ASPEN Plus, HTRI
etc.

Non-Technical Competencies: : Result Oriented, Decision Making, Teamwork and effective communication skills (written and
verbal).
