FDI INFLOW (एफडीआई प्रवाह ) – 24 MAY 2021 UPDATE

भारत ने ववत्त वर्ष 2020-21 के दौरान अब तक का सवाषवधक 81.72 अरब अमेररकी डॉलर का कुल एफडीआई प्रवाह आकर्षित र्कया है
और यह र्िछले र्ित्त िषि 2019-20 में आकर्षित र्कए गए कुल एफडीआई (74.39 अरब अमेररकी डॉलर) की तु लना में 10 प्रवतशत अर्िक है ।
िार्िज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय ने इसका श्रेय प्रत्यक्ष र्िदे शी र्निेश (एफडीआई) नीर्त सुिारों, र्निेश की सुर्ििा और व्यािार करने में आसानी के
मोर्चे िर सरकार द्वारा उठाए गए उिायों को र्दया है , र्िसके िररिामस्वरूि दे श में एफडीआई प्रिाह में िृद्धि हुई है । भारत के प्रत्यक्ष र्िदे शी
र्निेश में रुझान "िैर्िक र्निेशकों के बीर्च एक िसंदीदा र्निेश गंतव्य के रूि में अिनी द्धथिर्त का समिि न है।

 शीषि र्निेशक दे शों की दृर्ि से र्ित्त िषि 2020-21 में ‘वसिंगापु र’ 29% के साथ शीर्ष पर है , इसके बाद संयुक्त राज्य अमेररका (23%)
और मॉरीशस (9%) का नंबर आता है । अप्रैल 2020 से र्दसंबर 2020 तक संर्चयी एफडीआई प्रिाह की समीक्षा से िता र्चलता है र्क
मॉरीशस र्िछले दो दशकों में एफडीआई इद्धिटी प्रिाह का भारत का प्रमुख स्रोत रहा है ।
 ‘किंप्यू टर सॉफ्टवेयर और हाडष वेयर’ र्ित्त िषि 2020-21 के दौरान कुल एफडीआई इद्धिटी प्रिाह में लगभग 44% र्हस्सेदारी के साि शीषि
सेक्टर के रूि में उभर कर सामने आया है । इसके बाद क्रमश: र्नमािि (इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर या अिसंरर्चना) गर्तर्िर्ियों (13%) और सेिा क्षेत्र या
सर्ििस सेक्टर (8%) का नंबर आता है । र्ित्त िषि 2020-21 के दौरान र्िछले िषि की तु लना में र्नमाि ि (अिसंरर्चना) गर्तर्िर्ियां , कंप्यूटर
सॉफ्टिेयर एिं हाडि िेयर, रबर के सामान, खुदरा व्यािार, दिाएं एिं फामाि स्यूर्टकल्स और र्िद् युत उिकरि िै से प्रमुख सेक्टरों में इद्धिटी
प्रिाह में 100% से भी अर्िक की उल्ले खनीय िृद्धि दिि की गई है । दू रसंर्चार (-94 प्रर्तशत) और होटल और ियिटन (-94 प्रर्तशत) को
सबसे महत्विूिि र्गरािट का सामना करना िडा है ।
 र्ित्त िषि 2020-21 के दौरान प्रवतशत वृद्धि के मामले में सऊदी अरब शीर्ष वनवेशक है , र्िसने र्िछले र्ित्तीय िषि के दौरान 89.93
र्मर्लयन अमेररकी डॉलर की तु लना में 2816.08 र्मर्लयन अमेररकी डॉलर का र्निेश र्कया है। आं कडों के अनुसार र्ित्त िषि 2019-20 की
तु लना में र्ित्त िषि 2020-21 के दौरान क्रमशः यूएसए और यूके से एफडीआई इद्धिटी प्रिाह में 227% और 44% की िृद्धि दिि की गई है।
 र्ित्त िषि 2020-21 में एफडीआई इद्धिटी प्रवाह में 19% की वृद्धि हुई है । र्ित्त िषि 2019-20 की तु लना में यह आं कडा 59.64
वबवलयन अमेररकी डॉलर िा िब यह 49.98 र्बर्लयन अमेररकी डॉलर िा।
 र्ित्त िषि 2020-21 के दौरान कुल एफडीआई इद्धिटी प्रवाह में 37% वहस्सेदारी के साथ गु जरात शीर्ष प्राप्तकताष राज्य है , इसके बाद
महारािर (27%) और कनाि टक (13%) का थिान है । गुिरात के अर्िकां श इद्धिटी प्रिाह 'कंप्यूटर सॉफ्टिेयर और हाडि िेयर' (94%) और
'र्नमाि ि (इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर) गर्तर्िर्ियों' (2%) क्षेत्रों में सूर्र्चत र्कया गया है ।

FDI INFLOW – 24 MAY 2021 UPDATE

India has attracted highest ever total FDI inflow of US$ 81.72 billion during the financial year 2020-21 and it is 10%
higher as compared to the total FDI attracted (US$ 74.39 billion) in the last financial year 2019-20. The Ministry of Commerce
and Industry has attributed this to Measures taken by the government on the fronts of FDI policy reforms, investment
facilitation and ease of doing business have resulted in increased FDI inflows into the country. The trends in India’s FDI are an
endorsement of its status as a preferred investment destination amongst global investors.

 In terms of top investor countries, ‘Singapore’ is at the apex with 29%, followed by the U.S.A (23%) and Mauritius
(9%) for the Financial Year 2020-21. A review of the cumulative FDI inflows from April 2020 to December 2020
shows that Mauritius has been India's major source of FDI equity inflows over the past two decades.
 ‘Computer Software & Hardware’ has emerged as the top sector during Financial Year 2020-21 with around 44%
share of the total FDI Equity inflow followed by Construction (Infrastructure) Activities (13%) and Services Sector (8%)
respectively. The major sectors, namely Construction (Infrastructure) Activities, Computer Software & Hardware,
Rubber Goods, Retail Trading, Drugs & Pharmaceuticals and Electrical Equipment have recorded more than 100% jump
in equity during the Financial Year 2020-21 as compared to the previous year. Telecommunications (-94 per cent) and
hotels and tourism (-94 per cent) suffered the most significant declines.
 Saudi Arabia is the top investor in terms of percentage growth during the financial year 2020-21, which invested
US$ 2816.08 million in comparison to US$ 89.93 million during the previous financial year. According to the data 227%
and 44% increase recorded in FDI equity inflow from the USA & the UK respectively, during the financial year 2020-21
compared to financial year 2019-20.
 FDI equity inflows have increased by 19% in the financial year 2020-21. The data stood at US$ 59.64 billion as
compared to financial year 2019-20 when it stood at US$ 49.98 billion.
 Gujarat is the top recipient state during the financial year 2020-21 with 37% share of the total FDI Equity
inflows followed by Maharashtra (27%) and Karnataka (13%). Majority of the equity inflow of Gujarat has been
reported in the sectors `Computer Software & Hardware’ (94%) and `Construction (Infrastructure) Activities’ (2%).
