The supplier drawing forms defined within this standard will be created using English text.
The CNH Industrial supplier drawing form is not identified or labeled as being metric or inch.
All dimensions in this standard are in millimetres unless otherwise specified. The forms themselves have
been defined as metric and are based on the International System of Units (SI).
CNH Industrial Ag/CE supplier drawing forms are identified as S2 and S0. Unless otherwise noted, the two
forms must respectively comply with the size and margin requirements for A2 and A0 drawing forms as
described in CNH Drawing Standard DWGA100 – Drawing Sheet Sizes and Forms.
7. TITLE BLOCK
7.1 PURPOSE
The title block provides a uniform arrangement of blocks or fields for recording the general information that
applies to all supplier drawings. See Figure 1.
The title block is located in the lower right hand corner of the drawing form in alignment with the right hand
and bottom borderlines. See Figure 2. The title block will only be created in the two sizes listed in Table 1
below for corresponding S2 and S0 supplier drawing forms.

7.3.1 SIZE/SYSTEM (Item 6) – The drawing form size is entered as a two-digit code, e.g. A2 or A0,
followed by a slash and a two- or three-digit code indicating the CAD system generating the drawing, e.g.
PRO for Pro/ENGINEER®, MEX for Microsoft Excel etc. (for additional codes see CNH Drawing Standard
DWGA100). For example, A0/PRO, A2/MEX. The code MNL will be used on manual drawings and RST
on raster generated drawings.
7.3.2 DWG SCALE (Item 7) – The scale of CNH Industrial controlled orthographic views placed on the
drawing is displayed in this field. Additional non-projected views such as Detail, Section and Isometric
views must include their individual scale unless it matches the drawing scale. If no scale is provided the
word NONE must then be entered. The preferred drawing scales are 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5 and 1:10 for smaller
than full size and 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 5:1 and 10:1 for larger than full size.
7.3.3 DSGN CTRL (Item 8) – An alpha code used to indicate the design engineering location (per CNH
Engineering Procedure ENPH100 – Engineering Design Control Locations) which initially released or
subsequently revised the drawing. The indicator is linked to the location of the officially released ECO that
releases or revises the drawing.
7.3.4 DRAWN BY, CHECKED BY, APPROVED BY and Date (Items 9, 10 and 12) – The name of the
person who created the drawing is entered using the first initial, space and the full last name, with no
period after the initial. Adding the middle initial is optional, if space permits. The creation date is entered
above the name on the right.
Per CNH Engineering Procedure ENPH111 – Date Format in Engineering Documents and Systems, the
date is presented in a DDMMMYY format that reflects when the drawing was created where the month is
entered in uppercase using the first three characters in the name, e.g. 09SEP01. The same name and
date formatting applies to items 10, 11 and 12.

1) When the drawing is created by a CNH employee, the first initial (without a period), a space and full
last name of the primary preparer of the drawing must be placed in the DRAWN BY field along with
a date.
2) When the drawing is created by someone other than a CNH employee, the first initial (without a
period), a space and full last name of the CNH employee responsible for the preparation of the
drawing must be placed in the DRAWN BY field along with a date.
The CHECKED BY field is optional, however, if used; the field is to be completed as follows:
1) When the drawing is being checked through the Drawing Checking Application, the CHECKED BY
field will be left blank by designer. The application will enter the first initial (without a period), a
space and full last name of the person checking the drawing along with a date (Note: it is not
mandatory that the checker be a CHN employee).
2) When the drawing is not being checked through the Drawing Checking Application, the first initial
(without a period), a space and full last name of the CNH employee responsible for checking the
drawing must be entered in the CHECKED BY field along with a date.
The APPROVED BY field is optional, however, if used the field is to be completed as follows:
Regardless of who created or checked the drawing, the first initial (without a period), a space and full last
name of the CNH employee responsible for approving the release of the drawing must be entered into the
APPROVED BY field along with a date.
7.3.5 MATERIAL (Item 16) – The base material specification is as follows: Generic Description, CNH
MATXXXX, followed by any grade classifications thereof. For designation of metallic materials, refer to
CNH Material Specification MAT1003. This specification also deals with procedures to be followed when
a) the material description is too long to fit within the field, b) the material is restricted or special and c) an
alternate material needs to be specified.
For materials not covered by CNH Material Specification MAT1003, legacy company specifications (such
as Case MS, FNHA and O&K) or FIAT should be avoided and replaced by a current CNH material
specification. When it is impossible to avoid using legacy company specifications, they are to be listed in
the MATERIAL field.
The material designation could be a part number where the part described by the drawing is made from a
casting, forging or other semi-finished part with its own, unique part number. In such cases, MATERIAL is
not to be filled with a part number; but a material note as defined within CNH Drawing Standard DWGA115
– Notes on Drawings must be used.
The user may fill this field using the special notes below:
• NOT APPLICABLE
This is used when a material is not applicable, for example, where it is not meaningful to provide a
generic material description.
• SEE NOTES
This note is used when the specification is displayed by means of a material note as defined by
CNH Drawing Standard DWGA115.
• SEE CHART
This note is used when the specification is displayed by means of a chart in the body of drawing.

If none of the previous paragraphs apply to a part or an assembly, then a brief, generic description of the
primary material(s) used for the part, e.g. STEEL, PLASTIC, ALUMINUM, etc. must be placed in the
MATERIAL field.
It is mandatory that the REFERENCE PART field display content If the designer fails to enter any
reference part information he or she is prompted during image creation to either display appropriate
reference part information or the word NONE in the field. When revising a drawing, the designer must edit
or purge default REFERENCE PART text as needed to remove any ambiguity.
The REFERENCE PART field displays the part number of a part that has a design relationship with the part
number shown in the lower right hand corner of the drawing.
This design relationship is typically based on similarity in form (for example, right hand – left hand) but it
may be based on function, tooling, manufacturability, cost, material or it may be based on recording the
part number(s) of the item(s) being replaced by the new part number in at least one application.
Multiple part numbers may be displayed. Multiple part numbers must be separated by commas and not
spaces or any other characters.
If information exceeds allotted space then SEE NOTE n must be shown in this field and a NOTE n which
contains the reference part information must be added to the drawing.
For a full understanding of the impact on the Bill of Material and disposition of any replaced part numbers
listed in the REFERENCE PART field, internal users of the drawing must refer to the Engineering Change
Order (ECO) listed in the revision history portion of the drawing.
REFERENCE PART
88888888,87654321,12345678
The designer must use caution when revising the reference part information since this information is now
synched with Engineering Central. This is especially true when a multiple part number drawing such as
painted parts are involved.
When adding an additional part number to an existing group, the designer must determine if the initial
reference information is still appropriate or should it be revised to reference a different part resulting in a
corresponding update in Engineering Central.
Model information is optional but when used the model number of the product that the drawing is initially
being released on is placed in this field. If the model number is not known, the user may place a project
designation into this field. If more than one model or a model series, for example E-SERIES CHEX, is
affected the designer must select a specific model for this field, typically this is the first model on which the
item is used.
If the designer fails to enter an Approximate Mass value, the default value 0 kg will be displayed.

The Service Parts List consists of six fields. The six fields are, SUPPLIER P/N, ITEM (Item Number),
QUANTITY, U/M (Unit of Measure), PART NUMBER, and DESCRIPTION. Table 3 lists the informational
requirements and the minimum number of characters for a Service Parts List.
11. DRAWINGS
A CAD drawing is made by placing the suppliers electronically transferred drawing onto a supplier drawing
form as defined within this document. To support this activity, the supplier drawing forms must be made
available on all CNH Industrial Ag/CE CAD systems and said forms will be supplied when required to any
CNH Industrial Ag/CE contracted design service or agency.
A CAD drawing may or may not have a CAD model. If a model is available, an ISO view of the model will
be shown. If there is no model, a note indicating that the drawing is only a 2D representation must be
added.
Creating manual drawings, as a rule, is not encouraged. A manual drawing may be made by placing a
supplier’s print on a printed copy of the supplier drawing form. SIZE/SYS must indicate that the released
drawing is A2/MNL or A0/MNL, no other sizes are allowed. The past practice of attaching a “supplier tag”
to a supplier print has been eliminated and is no longer permitted.
Where the need to convey additional information requires it, a multiple sheet drawing may be made. The
information is placed on a standard drawing form as defined by CNH Drawing Standard DWGA100. CNH
Industrial Ag/CE supplier drawing form(s) may be attached to an existing part drawing or may be used to
create a new multiple sheet drawing as needed. Wherever practical, all sheets are to be the same size.
The revision level, assigned by CNH Industrial Ag/CE, will be the same for all sheets. See CNH Drawing
Standard DWGA112 – Multiple Sheet Drawings, for more information.
Supplier dimensions must not be modified but are to be maintained and displayed in their native units of
measurement.
Supplier tolerance information takes precedence over CNH Industrial Ag/CE tolerance standards.

14. IMPLEMENTATION
All CNH Industrial Ag/CE drawings first revision published on the corporate drawing viewer system after the
Engineering Release date of this revision of CNH Drawing Standard DWGA101 must be drawn in
accordance with this document.
All CNH Industrial Ag/CE drawings released prior to the publication and adoption of this standard; need not
be modified but can retain their original drawing size and format.
All revised CNH Industrial Ag/CE drawings are to follow instructions as provided in CNH Drawing Standard
DWGA120 – Drawing Revision Practices.
It is in the best interest of CNH Industrial to implement recommended practices as these may become
mandatory in future revisions of this standard, whereas, alternate practices may no longer be allowed.
Legacy CNH Industrial Ag/CE drawings may have any one of several former company drawing formats
associated with them. These formats need not be replaced with the ones defined by this standard unless
there are reasons to do so as judged by Product Engineering or imposed by CNH Industrial systems and
tools as part of release process.
When a legacy format is replaced, the designer needs to pay attention to critical information displayed in
the title block such as General Tolerances, Drawing View Projection Standards, Material Specifications,
Drawing Revision Information, etc. The designer must make and record any changes, as needed and
unless intentionally revised must make sure that the original form, fit and function are not affected.
Engineering Standards should be consulted whenever there is a question about interpretation of legacy
data, drawing standards, etc.
