Agenda: School Updates, Enrolment and Other Concerns

1. Updates on the Number of Enrollees

 Ma’am Lilibeth started the meeting with presentation of the number of
enrollees. So far, as of June 13, only 80 students are enrolled from Nursery 1
to Grade 10 retrieved from the data of Ms. Bernadith Gamaya. Among the 80
students, 74 of the populations are old students and 6 of the remaining are
new.
 She also presented the results of the survey to the students of school year
2019 -2020 regarding their decisions for the upcoming school year. It is
shown that out of 212 students, 65.57% of the population is sure to enrol,
7.55% is going to transfer school, 17.92% is undecided and 14.62% is
unresponsive. For the transferees, Ma’am Lilibeth elaborated that the ESC
fund would be nullified if the student will transfer to public school and non –
PEAC accredited institution.
 She encouraged the teaching staff to promote the marketing of the school
since there are few students who are officially enrolled as of this day.
2. Updates on Curriculum Schedule
 Mrs. Madelo proposed a sample schedule for the next school year. She
explained the prescribed number of hours per week rendered in an online
class. For the subjects (English, Math, Science, Filipino, T.L.E., MAPEH), 240
minutes is allotted for a week. 180 minutes is alloted for ArPan and Research.
120 minutes is allotted for EsP and 60 minutes is allotted for HRG for weekly
basis. The allotted weekly time frame is also stated based on the number of
hours to be done for the synchronous and asynchronous activities.
 The majority agreed that the 80 minutes rendered in a week for the
synchronous activities in major subjects especially in Math and Science which
includes Physics and Chemistry, is not enough for the teaching – learning
process. The committee suggested to have 2 hours of synchronous activities
upon teaching the above-mentioned subjects.
3. Updates on Modules
 The committee suggested that instead of making an ideal type of learning
module, it is agreed that the teacher must make a curriculum map as a
substitute. It is due to the following reasons.
 Learning module is idealistic. It will not give a 100% impact and guide
in teaching.
 It doubles the preparation of the teacher.
 Ma’am Rethse Banaag and the majority of the group suggested to stop the
printing of module for asynchronous activities. It would be better to give
ready-made activities and performance task to the students in the Internet
and
 Instead of making modules, it is confirmed that it would be better to make
PPT about the topics to be discussed in a week. Upon making it, it must be
aligned to the teacher’s curriculum map and to the Most Essential Learning
Competencies (MELCs) mandated by DepEd.
4. Updates on the Learning Management System
 Since the school doesn’t have the final decision for the LMS that is going to
use for the upcoming school year, majority decided that it would be better to
integrate Google Classroom as an LMS application. Based on the feedback of
Ma’am Rethse Banaag, it featured amazing tools that helps organize
students, link parents, offer class works (e. g. quiz, assignment, essays, etc.),
checks student’s output, make virtual class record and many more.
