Procedure:

The Draw and Swap event is in teams of two.

Each member of the team will be required to pick two chits and
incorporate the prompts into a single drawing.
Each team will be simultaneously working on two drawings which
they will swap every 10 minutes.
Any type of medium can be used for the drawing (Watercolour, soft
pastels, ink, etc.).

given to them.
Four themes will be decided by the members of the dance association.

theme.
Finals will be held in the auditorium/main stage on a date that will be given to the teams
after the first-round results.

Rules For final round:


There will certainly be marks for costume and make-up in the final round based on the
theme the team has received.
The teams will be allowed to use props that will suit the theme they have received.

Each participant has to form a group of 2-4 within their own house.
They will be given a product that they need to advertise then and there
in a creative manner.
This is an impromptu event.
The best 2 teams from each house will be selected for the finals.

Vocalists-

Participants are required to sing in any western genre.


No backing track is allowed.

Instrumentalists-
Participants are required to play any instrument keeping in mind that a

fusion may be required in the case of Indian instruments.


No vocal accompaniments are allowed.
All instruments are allowed.

Procedure for finals:


Six participants will be chosen from each house to form a band
(2 vocalists and 4 instrumentalists).
Each band will put up a rock genre performance.
The time limit is 12-minutes and a maximum of three songs are allowed.
Any form of fusion in music is also allowed.

Instrumentalists- Rhythm, consistency, overall performance, expression.

Procedure for prelims:


Participants will write a short story based on the prompt given.
The prompt will be provided two days in advance of the date of
submission.
The best four from each house will be a team for the finals.

Procedure for finals:

The four selected contestants from the prelims will form a team,
according to their house.
In the 1st round, the first person from each team will be given a
prompt, for which they need to write a part of a story.
After the 1st round gets over, they will get two minutes to explain the
plot to the second person on their team.
The second person will then have to continue the story and write the
next part (please note that they will not be allowed to see what the
previous person has written).
Then after the 2nd round, the second person will have to brief the next
person in 2 minutes, and the cycle continues till the fourth person of
the team completes writing the story. Therefore, the combined
writing of all four team members will be judged as a single story.

Grades JUST A MINUTE
9 to 12

Procedure:
Participants will be given a topic and be given 20 seconds as
preparation time. They will also start off the event with 5 points. The
goal is to speak as long as possible (time limit of 1 minute) without
someone else making a 'claim'. A 'claim' can be made by anyone other
than the speaker and claims can be made on the following basis:
1. If the speaker stutters or stammers
2. If the speaker goes off-topic
3. If the speaker repeats points. The 'claim' will be reviewed by
the panel of judges. If approved, the person who made the
claim gets a point and the speaker loses a point and their turn
for the round. The person who made the 'claim' additionally
must continue speaking instead of the original speaker. The
person who makes a false 'claim', ie, the 'claim' is not accepted
by the judges, shall lose a point. If a person, successfully
speaks for a minute, they will be rewarded 5 points.

Finals will be held offline, in school, and supervised by the members of


the association.
The selected participants from each house will work as a team to solve
the puzzles. A set of questions will be given, worth different points, and
a time frame to answer them.
Juniors and seniors will participate in separate final events.

1. Participants will be judged based on the number of points scored.


2. Time will be used as a tie-breaker in case two participants score the same number of
points.

Procedure:

Participants form teams of 2-4 and build a real-world application


based on a given theme.

They have 1 month to build their project, after which they submit

to us the source code along with a short 2 min video explaining

NIRVAHA Association – Project Ideas


Term-1:
Grades 6-8: Guest lectures by professionals who have experience in
the fields of sustainability.
Grades 9-12: Support Staff Teaching: A team of volunteers from each
grade are to teach basic English (reading, speaking, writing,
grammar/vocabulary) to the support staff. Each grade will be
allotted 1 day per week to do the teaching; grades will be alternated
every week.
Grades 6-12: Take appropriate suggestions from the students by
putting up posters on the notice boards to bring about changes
within the school regarding helping the support staff or creating
awareness.
Term-2:

Grades 6-8: Field trip to a nearby NGO to showcase how the UNSDGs
are being implemented on a local level. We can choose the NGOs and
get them approved by the school.
Grades 6-12: An event that goes along the lines of YEP, but only
people who want to volunteer can participate. They can sell non-
edible recyclable items on Sports Day; we will have 5-6 students
handling each stall; the money earned will be donated.

SOS Association - Project Ideas


Term 1:
* Grades 9-12: Send out the volunteer sign-up forms for students
interested to help the association with future surveys and
workshops. Only 5 volunteers per grade.
* Grades 6-12: Introduce a grade-wise buddy system. Buddies will
look after issues taking place within their grades or personal issues
faced by students of their grades and report back to the badge
holders who will find a solution.
* Grades 11-12: Introduce a bus buddy system. One senior from each
bus will be chosen to look after and resolves quarrels taking place
within their respective buses.
* Grades 6-12: Conduct mental health surveys and work on student
body concerns.
Term 1 and Term 2:
* Conduct guest seminars by professional psychiatrists and school
alumni.
* Throughout the year, the association will also be conducting
surveys, workshops, and seminars on issues concerning the student
body. These include topics like cyberbullying, domestic violence,
body shaming, sexual assault awareness, LBGTQ+ awareness,
harassment, etc.
