No.28,
Public street,
Cumilla.
28th December,2019
District commissioner,
Cumilla.
Respected sir,
Hello, sir, I am ram living in the public street. For the past 6
months, our area dustbins are not recovered. The smell of the trashes is filled
around in our area and due to this mess, the dengue mosquito is spreading
everywhere in our locality. Children and old people are suffering from dengue fever
and the smell of the trash is intolerable. I have already complained about this to
the municipal office but they are not taking action against it. So I kindly request you
to take a step regarding this.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully
Ram

Sir,
This is to draw your attention to the irregular water supply in the Paribagh
locality. In the morning the water supply is for only half an hour instead of
the regular three hours. In the evening, sometimes there is no water supply
and when water is supplied, it is for just fifteen minutes. At times, the water
locality. They are always giving us empty promises and doing nothing. You
are kindly requested to look into this matter seriously and solve the
problem
Thanking you
Sincerely yours,
Dear Sir,
I, on behalf of the students of our school, beg to state that the number of books
available in the school library is inadequate to meet the demands of the students.
Most of the existing books are novels and poetry by ancient writers and cannot
satisfy our thirst for up-to-date knowledge and information. The promising students
want to read books of modern writers and reference books on different subjects.
I, therefore, pray that you would take necessary steps to buy more reference books
to enrich our school library.
Sincerely yours -
Sujon Ahmed
On behalf of the students of
Online School.

Subject: Intolerable traffic jam in Dhaka city
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I venture to voice my views about the
intolerable traffic jam in Dhaka.
There is hardly anybody found in Dhaka who did not face the unbearable traffic jam. This has
happened actually for the enormously increasing number of rickshaws and private cars. Here
we see sometimes hundreds of different vehicles standing still. Especially office going people
and students become victims to this terrible traffic jam. They have to miss their most
important meetings and classes. But among all, patients suffer most while they are badly in
need of medical treatment. Many patients die every day being stuck in traffic jams.
Nobody can avoid the responsibility of solving this problem as dweller of Dhaka city.
Through this small letter I would like to draw attention not only of the Government but also
of the people who live in Dhaka. Without working hand to hand with the Government, it is
quite impossible to minimize the sufferings of common people. Last of all, I can say that an
effective and planned action can play a vital role in these circumstances.

Dear Akib,
How are you? I am fine. In your last letter you wanted to know about my
school. The name of my school is St. Gregory High School. It is in Kotwali
police station under Dhaka district. In new School are more than 1000 students
and 20 to 30 teachers. The school has 30 rooms. Seventeen rooms are for
classes, one room for teachers and the other for the headmaster. The result of
the school has been very good.
All the teachers in our school are very friendly and helpful. They are highly
qualified teachers. They teach us with pleasure. They love us like their own
children. There is a big playground in front of the school. I love my school very
much.
No more today. Your care. With the best respect to your parents.
Rakib
Most of the people value their money more than the time however it is true that nothing
is as valuable as time. It is time which gives us money; prosperity and happiness
however nothing in this world can give time. Time can only be used; one can never buy
or sell it. Most of the people live their life in useless way. They enjoy their time by only
eating, playing or other lazy activities with their friends. In this way they spend days and
years. They never think that what they are doing, in what ways they are living their time,
etc. Even they never regret their ways of time wasting and never become sorry.
Indirectly they have lost their lots of cash and most importantly the time which they never
get back.
We should learn from the mistakes of others as well as should inspire from the success
of others. We should use our time in doing some useful works so that time may bless us,
not destroy.
Every good thing in life requires hard work and effort. Physical exercise is one of the
hardest commitments that one can choose to engage in but it is able to deliver the very
best results depending on the level of commitment and hard work you choose to put into
it.
4. Short Essay on A Journey In An Overcrowded Bus 300 Words for Kids and
Students in English
It was a Sunday morning. I decided to visit my friend, Ajay who lives in Shahdara.
The place is quite far off from my residence in Ashok Vihar and the autorickshaw
would have charged a huge amount. So, I decided to board a DTC bus. As I reached
the bus stop, I saw a huge crowd on the road. They all made a dash when they saw
a bus coming. The buses were packed to capacity some passengers were even
hanging on to the gate. The lucky ones managed to put their toes on the foothold
and left everything else to God, There is no need of pushing ourselves inside it is
done with full force by those who board the bus after us.
The private buses had observed a strike. The crowd was swelling by the minute. As I
boarded the bus, the fellow commuters pushed me in. There were only 50 seats in
the bus but more than hundred persons were travelling in it. The number of
passengers standing was in no way less than those occupying the seats. There were
eight seats reserved for the ladies but they were occupied by young men. The old
womens were standing and requesting the boys to vacate the seats. It was not easy
to get to the exit door. One had to do some tight rope-walking as if it were a circus
show.
My stop was approaching and I started pushing my way towards the door. Suddenly,
I felt someone touching my purse. I tried to grab him but he had already slipped. I
looked around foolishly because not only the money, but also the ticket was in the
same purse.
I shouted loudly and called on the driver to take the bus to the police station. He kept
on driving till my stop came. He told me that I would not gain anything because the
pickpocket might have got down from the bus immediately. I had learnt a new lesson
of life by boarding an overcrowded DTC bus.
5. My Daily Life
I am a creature of habit. I find myself at ease when things go according to plans. This is
not to say I find change upsetting but that I prefer things function like clockwork.
Because of this, I have crafted my daily routine perfectly.
My mornings begin half an hour before the break of dawn. An alarm clock springs me
out of bed and I wash up. I drink a glass of water and head out for a morning run. This
morning run helps keep me energetic through the day. After the run, I return home to
shower and have breakfast with my family. Because I am particular about my diet, my
breakfast consists of a healthy meal. My only weakness, however, is coffee. A steaming
mug of Espresso is a weekday necessity for me.
After breakfast, I drop my siblings to their school and head to my office. As an engineer,
I have a rather demanding schedule most days, so I ensure I have my lunch with me.
Some days when the work is less hectic I join my co-workers in a relaxation hour at the
cafeteria. The banter continues throughout work nonetheless. I have my lunch around 2
pm and juice at 4 pm. The peon at my office has fallen in sync with my routine. My
punctuality for things has earned me the nickname Captain at the office. It is rather
amusing to my co-workers.
I leave office at 7 pm when work is done on time and head home to my family. After a
change of clothes, refreshments are served, and we discuss our day. My father likes to
engage me in sports debate which I tend to enjoy. My mother and siblings serve dinner
and we dine together. Sometimes my siblings require my assistance with their
homework, so I tutor them. When they are asleep, my parents and I enjoy a night cap
green tea. I retire to bed around 10 pm with a book. Reading helps me to stay grounded
and distance myself from my daily responsibilities long enough to relax me. I try to list a
couple of things I am grateful for, before sleeping. A little acknowledgment like this is
what makes my routine worthwhile.
