Most green plants can do very well by themselves. So long as there is sunlight, carbon
dioxide in the air, water, and minerals in the soil, green plants can make their food. The
food of other living things, even the food of meat-eating animals, comes directly or
indirectly from green plants. For example, some people eat mutton; mutton comes from a
goat; the goats eat grass. These steps, or links, make up what is called the food chain.
Without green plants, all other living things would die or starve. Plants help animals in
other ways too. They furnish homes and shelter for many animals. Many birds, as you
know, build their nests in trees. Deer and many other animals use bushes for shelter.
Beavers build their lodges from trees that they cut down. And even man depends much
upon plants for his shelter, because trees furnish the timber that goes into the making of
his house.
Animals repay some of this debt by helping plants. You may be aware that many
insects and some birds do important work for plants by pollinating them. You must have
also learned how animals often help plants by scattering seeds.
What is the waste material for one of these kinds of life is often valuable substance for
the other. For example, animals give off carbon dioxide gas when they breathe. When
plants manufacture food, they absorb this gas from the air, using the carbon and releasing
some of the oxygen back to animals. Thus the cycle continues, animals helping plants,
and plants helping animals. Even dead plants and animals help living ones because as the
decay of the dead one, they enrich the soil by adding valuable chemicals to it.

A long time ago, a child was born to a queen and king and she was called Snow White.
When the queen died, the king remarried. This new queen was wicked and hated Snow
White. The queen gave orders that Snow White was to be treated as a servant.
Snow White grew to be a very beautiful girl. One day a Prince who was riding by saw
her at work and immediately fell in love with her.
The queen was beautiful too, and every day she asked her Magic Mirror, "Who is the
fairest in the land?" and the mirror always answered, "You are the fairest one of all". One
day the mirror answered that Snow White was the fairest in the land. In a rage, the queen
gave orders to one of her huntsmen to take Snow White into the woods and kill her. But
the huntsman had a kind heart and couldn't carry out the order. So he told Snow White to
run away. She fled into the woods where The Seven Dwarfs lived. Their house was small
and strange.
Snow White entered the little house and found it very untidy. She started to clean it
up. Upstairs she found seven little beds. Feeling very tired she stretched out on one of the
beds, and soon fell asleep.
When the Dwarfs came home they were surprised to find Snow White and after some
arguments, they decided to let her stay. She promised to cook and look after them. The
queen discovered where Snow White was living and disguising herself as a witch. She
took a poisoned apple and set out for the Dwarfs' cottage. She gave Snow White the
poisoned apple. Snow White ate it and as soon as she bit into the apple, she sank into
unconsciousness.
Thinking she was dead, the Dwarfs built a glass coffin and put her in it. For days she
lay in the forest in her glass coffin. One day, the Prince who was riding through the forest
found her. Then she suddenly woke up after the Prince called her name. The Prince took
Snow White to his palace where they were married and lived happily ever after.

A clean and fresh city will surely make the inhabitants healthy. Every morning
especially in the dry season, all roads must be watered with clean water and swept by
the workers of the regional government under the mayor's instruction.
To protect people from heavy pollution caused by cars, trucks, and motorcycles,
enough trees must be planted along the roads. Every building or house in the city must be
surrounded by short and small trees which bear colorful flowers.
Bad and improper habits which cause disadvantages, such as smoking and throwing
rubbish anywhere should be stopped at once. The city mayor will have to think over the
way to educate people, so they realize how important cleanliness and health are. More
public lavatories are badly needed.
It will be wise if the city mayor decides a certain amount of fine to be paid by those
who break the government regulation on cleanliness matter. For example, a man who
urinates not at a lavatory, smokes not at a smoking room, or throws rubbish at the roads
should be fined. Besides dirtying the environment with cigarettes butts, smoking will also
cause pollution and bad lung diseases to other people.
So, bad habits and impolite attitude should be immediately stopped, otherwise, the
city will be dirty, unhealthy, badly polluted and will never attract foreign and domestic
tourists as well.

While many parents send their children to public schools, there are some other people who
choose boarding school education. They prefer their children are educated there for some
reasons.
At an early age interacting and communicating with people is very important for a child’s
personal life and can be especially helpful for his/her future. In a boarding school, shy
children can take advantage of interaction through communal activities. The boarding school
also offers a great variety of activities such as arts, sports, and music that allow the children
to demonstrate and develop specialized skills in their free time.
Furthermore, the structured way of life and strict rules at the boarding school may help
students to get used to a well-ordered way of life. The manners and social skills will help
them to become more responsible and confident, and to develop their talents in leadership.
Professionally trained teachers and educators in the boarding school can offer excellent
education without the parents’ constant supervision.
