LEARNING ACTIVITY:

1. What is a resource based economy?

A Resource-Based Economy is a system in which all goods and services are available
without the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or servitude. All resources
become the common heritage of all of the inhabitants, not just a select few. The premise upon
which this system is based is that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resources; our practice of
rationing resources through monetary methods is irrelevant and counter productive to our
survival. In addition, resource-based economy is a society without money, barter or trade, with
the awareness that Humanity is One family and where technology, science and spirituality is
used to it’s fullest to develop and manage the planet’s resources to provide abundance for
everyone in the most sustainable way

2. Watch Jacque Fresco’s “THE VENUS PROJECT” and write a reaction paper in 15 minutes.
Upload I n Lesson 1 Folder in your google drive.

The Venus Project was describing a future world as a world without money and without
government. Thus, robots and advanced artificial intelligence that will be the future where
everyone will get everything they need. Jacque Fresco all want is to develop mankind where
robots will do the works of man. In addition he wants to build this world as “smart cities”where
completely automated. In this project he imagine the organization of life on this planet might
not be a revolutionary one but an evolutionary one. The probable cause of change would be a
global crisis as a robotization would take away jobs, from a large number of employees down
to few. Yes this project is cool and made this for what our future needs, for what everyone
longing to have in the future. But for me I do not agree on this so called “project” because what
if we colonize by some unnatural resource? God created this earth completely brilliant. As what
God said in the bible in book of John 8:12 it mentioned “when Jesus spoke again to people, He
said; I am the light of the world” God are the one you said this so what will be the purpose of
changing this world and make as a “smart cities”?

Therefore, I still believe that this world have hope and did not need a changes, because
we can fix those problems that our world facing, we have God so there is no need to create or
change it to a new place. We need to face the fact that this world will stay from what it was in
the past.
