The Republic Act (RA) 9003, otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste
Management Act of 2000, provides for a systematic, comprehensive and

solid waste management. Every educational institution is mandated by law to
educate the public on the theories and practices on solid waste management.

aims to promote individual responsibility towards proper segregation, collection,
transport, storage, treatment and disposal of solid wastes through the formulation

This activity aims to inculcate the spirit of and community engagement to each
and everyone. More importantly, this activity serves as a reminder how
important it is to have a quality and relevant education for our common good as
one community.

III. Objectives

Philippine Geothermal The Less Basura sa Balik Eskwela Project aims to achieve the following

 Solid Waste Management - Information Education Campaign (IEC). Help

ASCODE Foundation, Inc. children identify different types of waste, understand how each type can
be recycled and learn how the waste can be used productively – for
horticulture purposes or to make money.

 To support the implementation of RA 9003 in our community.

IV. Date and Venue

The Less Basura sa Balik Eskwela Project is a 1-day activity which will be
conducted on September 4, 2022 at 3 schools in our municipality; Tiwi
Agro Industrial School, Naga National High School and Bagumbayan Elementary School.
