DETECTORS, MANUAL CALL POINT AND DEVICES

5 Confirm Tag plate installed in accordance to detector lay out drawing and specification

8 Confirm that appropriate environmental/ weather should is fitted (dependent on location)
9 Confirm that remote test gas injection points are connected and leak free ( appropriate to duct
mounted detectors and those mounted in accessible location only)
10 Confirm that all unused test points, calibration socket etc. are weather proofed(sealant or plug as
appropriate) in accordance to manufacture recommendation
11 Confirm that aspirator tubing is fitted and secure ( aspirator panel mounted gas detector only)
12 In case open patch devices Fitted, confirm that part between transmitter and receiver is clear and
unobstructed by ladder, pipework etc.
AUDIBLE, VISUAL ALARM AND PANEL
1 Installation is rigid and secure
2 Termination is correct according to drawing and zones distribution
3 Elevation and Orientation checked(in accordance to drawing)
4 Instrument is suitably rated for area classification
5 EOL resistor fitted and correctly ( if applicable)

7 Check and confirm grounding are installed in accordance to manufacture recommendation and
specification
8 Confirm devices is securely mounted in accordance to manufacture recommendation and
specification
9 Confirm that appropriate environmental/ weather should is fitted (dependent on location)
GENERAL
1 Check that enclosures in accordance to hazardous classification and the location
2 Check IS ( Intrinsically safe) installations are correct
3 Check Cable termination to detector and panel correct with ID tags
4 Hazardous area class and IP rating complies with requirement.
5 Check End of Line resistor installed ( if applicable)
6 Check all grounding system and all connection are properly tightened
(IE,PE and IS are measure and those shall be separated)
7 Check The installation completed in accordance project drawing/specification
8 Check Printed Circuit Board are Clean and undamaged (if Visible only)
9 Check unused cable entries are plugged with correct type of plug
10 NO unauthorized modification on electrical enclosure
11 Check general condition of enclosure is satisfactory
12 Check Enclosure glass part and glass to metal sealing gasket / compound are satisfactory.
13 Check Enclosure flange faces are clean and undamaged.
14 Check flange gap dimensions are within maximal value permitted
15 Check obstruction adjacent to flame proof flanged joints are within minimum distance as IEC 60079
at gas group ( IIA:10mm, IIB:30mm, IIC:40mm)
16 Check breathing and draining system devices are satisfactory
17 equipment is adequately protected against corrosion, weather, vibration and other adverse factor
18 NO undue accumulation of dust and dirty
19 Check enclosure lids are satisfactory with suitable gasket (If applicable),
fixing screws/bolts tightened and IP rating is maintained
