(UAE) are finding the
golden visas as a package to
attract talent. Over and above
salary and bonus packages,
some businesses in the UAE
are offering 10-year golden
visas as part of their recruitment
for key positions or specific
skills.
This could soon extend to
employers in other sectors too
as demand for talent increases
and more employees seek ex-
tended residency options in the
country, said a Gulf News re-
port.
The Dubai-based real estate
portal Property Finder is seeking
early mover advantage by
intakes of software/data engi-
neers and those coming into
leadership roles.
“The addition of newcomers
into the ambit is aligned with
our quest to be the company
that continues to provide supe-
rior practices to our talent and
works hand-in-hand with Dubai’s
vision of making this geography
attractive for talent,” said Anu-
radha Challu, Chief People Of-
ficer at Property Finder. “We
seize every opportunity that en-
courages Dubai’s efforts in rev-
olutionising talent pools as well
as be a hub for digital innova-
tion.”

ODAY, Indian tele-

been spurred, by market-
friendly policies of Prime Minis-
ter Narendra Modi’s govern-
ment, said the Union Minister of
State for Communications, De-
vusinh Chauhan, while elabo-
rating upon the success story
of growth of telecom sector in
India.
Addressing the inaugural
event of International Telecom-
munication Union’s Regional
Standardisation Forum (RSF)
for Asia and Oceania region, he
said that India’s policy in the
field of telecommunications for-

open-source test bed, IIT Kan-
pur hosts the base-band test
bed and IIT Delhi hosts the

dollars. This very well, reflects
the confidence and sentiments
of the Indian telecom industry,”

5G technologies and plan their

The development of this in-
digenous test bed is a key mile-
stone step for India becoming
self-reliant in 5G technology
domain and now leading to-
wards 5G Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
This test bed is providing in-
digenous capability for testing
and validation of 5G products
being developed and manufac-
tured by Indian start-ups,
MSME, R&D, academia and in-
dustry users. This has resulted
in huge cost efficiency and re-
duced design time due to which
Indian 5G products are likely
to become market competitive
globally.
The development of this test
bed has also resulted into de-
velopment of many 5G tech-
nologies/IPs which are available
for technology transfer to in-
dustry players which shall fa-
cilitate industry players for
smooth and speedy deployment
of 5G in India.
To extend the state-of-the-
art telecom facilities to the last
person of the society and in
sync with the Antyodaya phi-
losophy, Mr Chauhan said, the
Prime Minister has laid down a
clear roadmap to address the
digital divide.

HE Ministry of Tourism
under its Swadesh Dar-
shan Scheme (SDS) pro-
vides financial assistance to
state governments/Union terri-
tory (UT) administrations/Cen-
tral agencies etc. for develop-
ment of tourism infrastructure in
the country. The projects under
this scheme are sanctioned sub-
ject to availability of funds, sub-
mission of suitable
detailed project re-
ports, adherence to
scheme guidelines
and utilisation of
funds released ear-
lier etc. The Ministry
of Tourism under its
SDS has sanc-
tioned 10 projects
under the theme of
coastal circuit, said
the Union Minister
for Tourism, G Kishan Reddy.
Replying in the Lok Sabha,
he said the Ministry of Tourism
has now revamped its Swadesh
Darshan Scheme as Swadesh
Darshan 2.0 (SD2.0) in order to
develop sustainable and respon-
sible destination-centric approach
with the following objectives:
To enhance the contribution
of tourism to the local economies;
to create jobs including self-em-
ployment for local communities;
to enhance the skills of local
youth in tourism and hospitality;
to increase private sector invest-
ment in tourism and hospitality;
to preserve and enhance local

the participants that around
1,75,000 villages are already
provided with optical fibre, while
cultural and natural resources.
In order to harness the po-
tential of cruise tourism in the
country, a task force has been
constituted with Secretary
(Tourism) as the Chairman and
Secretary (Shipping) as the Co-
chairman. The task force consists
of representatives from ports,
ministries of health, home affairs,
external affairs, customs, Central
Industrial Security Force (CISF),
coastal states, etc. The 13th
meeting of the task force on
cruise tourism was held on April
27, 2022.

undertakes various promotional
activities in the international and
domestic markets to promote
tourism products of the country
including coastal tourism in a
holistic manner. This includes
release of media campaigns un-

promotional events, social media

dred thousand villages by 2025.
Apprising about 5G rollout
in the country, the minister said
the government is promoting in-
digenously designed, developed
and manufactured advanced
telecom technology. As a result,
India today, has a strong home-
grown, 5G mobile communica-
tions ecosystem, he said.
