LEVI CELERIO
• Grew up in: Tondo, Manila
• Age 11: He learned how to play Violin; became
scholar at Academy of Music in Manila
• One of his music was inspired from a girl, named
“Laling”
• Wrote more than 4,000 songs
• Guinness Book of World Records as the only person
able to make music using just a leaf; as he noticed
that when its windy leaves makes beautiful sounds
• He was accused by the Japanese and soldiers as a
guerilla and he proved them wrong by using a leaf
to sing Japanese music to prove that he is a
musician.
• 1930 - he fabricated a letter for a movie, Dalagang
Bukid. This is where his name became famous in the
field of musical scoring.
• 1992 - National Artist for Music and Literature
• 1993 - Gawad Urian from Manunuri ng Pelikulang
Pilipino.
LUCIO SAN PEDRO
• Grew up in: Angono, Rizal

LEONOR OROSA
• Age 4: Started her education in Jolo, Sulu
• 1970 - National Artist for Dance
• She saw a Russian ballet dancer which made her fell

are a lot of factors that impede them from
flourishing their skills.

JULIE LLUCH
• Graduated Philosophy
