INNOVATION, EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP” Course to all students of
current VI Semester B.E. CSE, B.Tech. IT, and B.E ECE of Anna University - Faculty Registration

As part of the Naalaiya Tiran Project, Anna University is offering an EEC category
MANDATORY course “HX 8001 PROFESSIONAL READINESS FOR INNOVATION,
EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP” with 3 credits (as an extended 4-5 months
Hackathon) to all the 6th semester students (of B.E. CSE, B.Tech. IT, and B.E. ECE). They will
earn the credits in the 7th semester on completion of this course. This course is offered online by
IBM.
For the effective implementation of this course, we need the involvement of the Principal
and the faculty in three roles: a senior faculty as the Faculty Single Point of Contact (SPOC),
Faculty mentors and Faculty evaluators. SPOC will ideally be one per institution. The students
will work in teams of 4 members. For every 7 or 8 teams a Faculty mentor and a Faculty evaluator
have to be assigned. In general, for a class of 60 students, 2 Faculty mentors and 2 Faculty
evaluators have to be assigned, and they have to register on the portal :
https://careereducation.smartinternz.com/ before 23rd June 2022. A welcome mail has been sent
to all the Principals from the Portal. The Principals have to register in the portal using the
credentials sent in the mail.
The SPOC may be selected from the faculty mentors, but has to register with a different e-mail id
for getting the appropriate privileges in the coordination activities. Faculty evaluators have to be
different from the faculty mentors. The Principal has to approve the SPOC, Mentors and
Evaluators in the portal after their registrations.
The information about this course shall be communicated to the students, by the faculty.
The registered faculty information shall be sent to the office of the CoE in the following format.
