CONCEPT NOTES

Holistic Health- refers to harmony and balance in all aspect of health -physical, mental,
emotional, social and moral-spiritual.
Good Health Practices-refer to health promoting behaviors to build healthy habits.
Health Goals- setting health targets which are SMART (Specific, Measurable,
Attainable, Realistic and Timely). Building healthy habits is the same as when
you learn a new skill- it will take time, but once you have it, you have it!
Self-Wellness Assessment- focuses on self-reflection and/or self-discovery, preventive
care, and healthy habits that evaluate the dimensions of health.

Activity A. Written inside the boxes are good practices in every dimension. Write your rating in
the space provided from 0-3 on how often you practice them yourself. Answer HONESTLY by
using this scale: 0-Never 1-Sometimes 2- Most of the time 3- Always
