Reading Intervention

This session is designed to enhance and update the pedagogical competencies of
teachers in this new normal set up of learning where it’s a big challenge for all educators in
this present time (especially it has a great relevance to the different styles of learners in

Activity
Through this endeavor, teachers will be capacitated to teach learners where they are
challenged to embrace changes and new trends of teaching. Furthermore, this would help
them deepen their understanding for those learners who need their time and perseverance.

PICTURE ANALYSIS
The facilitator will show animated picture and ask the participant to interpret each
learner.

MIND MAPPING
Each participant will be given meta cards where they will write word/s
associated with learning styles of learners. The facilitator will process the output of
the activity through letting them share their personal insights with the use of the
Activity application “THE HATS”.

DECK OF CARDS
 The facilitator will group the participants into 2 according to their subject handled.
 Each group will be given manila paper and deck of cards. They will be asked to
arrange the phases/stages of learning in the application of intervention to the
learners.
 Let each group present their outputs.

The facilitator will discuss the different reading interventions appropriate to the
