To talk about the future we have different forms, in classes we have studied 2: Will and Going
To. Check this table to learn about the uses of Will and Going To.

Will
Auxiliary for Future.
It has a neutral meaning.
We use “Will” for an instant decision or
agreement.
We can use it for predictions.
We don’t need a special conjugation for
subjects, we only use Will o Will Not (won’t)
for any subject.
Going To
Present Continuous, but we use it for Future.
We use “Going To” for intentions, something
we already decided.
For predictions, but when we know the
present situation in general, like in context.
We need to use TO BE with going to:
I + am (am not)
He/She/IT + is (isn’t)
We/You/They + are (aren’t)
Will
Affirmative Aspect
I will play tennis
She will dance
They will run in the park
Negative Aspect Interrogative Aspect
I will not play tennis Will you play tennis?
(I won’t play tennis)
She will not dance Will she dance?
(She won’t dance)
They will not run in the park Will they run in the park?
(They won’t run…)

Going To
Affirmative Aspect
I am going to play tennis
(I’m going to play…)
He is going to study English
(He’s going to study…)
We are going to travel
(We’re going to travel)
Negative Aspect Interrogative Aspect
I am not going to play tennis Am I going to play?
(I’m not going to play…)
He is not going to study Is he going to study?
(He isn’t going to study…)
We are not going to travel Are we going to travel?
(We aren’t going to travel)
