3- GENERAL AIMS
OBJECTIVES OF THE AREA
OG.EFL 1. Encounter socio-cultural aspects of their own and other countries in a thoughtful and inquisitive manner, maturely, and openly experiencing other cultures and languages from the
secure standpoint of their own national and cultural identity.
OG.EFL 2. Draw on this established propensity for curiosity and tolerance towards different cultures to comprehend the role of diversity in building an intercultural and multinational society.
OG.EFL 3. Access greater flexibility of mind, creativity, enhanced linguistic intelligence, and critical thinking skills through an appreciation of linguistic differences. Enjoy an enriched

5.- UNITS TO BE DEVELOPED


FIRST QUIMESTER:

UNIT 1. Have you read the news?


• Simple Present tense
• Simple Past tense
• Present Perfect tense
• Past Perfect tense
ANALYSIS/ANÁLISIS:
In this first unit, we can´t develop the 100% that we planned because students don´t have a good way of learning, each one learns the different manner, also another thing was
that they get confused with the grammar between simple present and simple present tense, so we decided to work in this themes, practicing in classes and home, doing group and
individual groups.
En esta primera unidad no se pudo trabajar para cumplir con el 100% de lo planificado, debido a que los estudiantes no tienen un buen ritmo de aprendizaje en lo que se refiere a esta
asignatura, ellos se confunden con la gramática del presente simple y el presente perfecto simple, entonces se trabajó en estos temas practicando en clases y en casa, realizando trabajos en
grupo e individuales.
UNIT 2. Healthy life, healthy world
• Past Modals: must / could / might /
• Relative clauses: who / where / that
During this second unit we can say that there were some difficulties, because students can´t use in a correct form the modals (must/could/ and might), so we work during two
weeks in order to develop this grammar and they can use in sentences and short paragraphs, writing an oral manner. Another thing was that students don’t manage WH words
correctly, so I decided to teach again this part and then teach about relative clauses.
Durante esta unidad podemos decir que se presentaron algunas dificultades porque los estudiantes no podían usar de forma correcta los verbos modales (must/could/might) entonces por ese
motivo trabajamos durante dos semanas hasta que ellos desarrollen bien este aprendizaje y lo puedan usar en oraciones y párrafos cortos tanto escritos como orales. Otra cosa que dificultó
el aprendizaje de los estudiantes fue que no podían manejar las palabras de interrogación, entonces se decido volver a enseñar esto y después continuar con el contenido de la gramática que
era Relative clauses.
UNIT 3. What lies within us
• Phrasal verbs
• Gerunds and infinitives
• Prefixes and suffixes
In this unit number three the difficulties presented were that the learners don´t study the Phrasal verbs in order to use them in sentences, don´t study for oral lesson either.
About the gerunds and infinitives students need to practice the grammar doing homework, so that don’t permit to develop the whole objectives for the unit. Finally, about
prefixes and suffixes, students need to practice more the language in classes.
En esta unidad número tres las dificultades que se presentaron fueron que los estudiantes no estudiaban los Phrasal Verbs para poderlos usar en oraciones, tampoco estudiaban para las
Lecciones orales. Sobre el tema de los Gerunds / Infinitives los estudiantes necesitaban practicar la gramática y hacer sus tareas, entonces esto no permitió el completo desarrollo de los
Objetivos de la unidad. Finalmente, sobre el tema de prefixes / suffixes los estudiantes necesitaban practicar más el lenguaje dentro del aula de clase.

6.- OBSERVATIONS
FIRST QUIMESTER:
At the end of the first quimester, the skills planed were accomplished in the 80%, that were writing and reading skills, students need to practice more the oral communication in classes, they have
to use the language the whole time that they´re in the classroom.
SECOND QUIMESTER:
In the second quimester from the school year 2019-2020, the whole microcurricular units from the PCI were not 100% fulfilled by the reason of the sanitary emergency. It´s important to say that
we as teachers had tried to cover the content weekly from March, 16th 2020 till the school year finished according to “El plan educativo Aprendamos Juntos en casa”, which was a strategy took
from the Ministerio de Educación.

ADVICES:

- To practice writing.
