Warm up - Greet students whole class

- Ask students sing along the song
5 mins
- Ask students to say aloud 4 class rules
- Stick Class rules on the board

Whispers whole class


- Use Flashcards 47-52 to review the countries
- Arrange children into rows of at least six.
- Secretly show a flashcard to the first child in each group. This child whispers the

word to the child next to him/her.
3 mins - Children continue whispering the word to the child next to them until the word
reaches the final child.
- The final child says the word out loud, and the first child holds up the flashcard to
see whether the word is correct.
- Continue playing, starting and ending with different children if you wish.

10 mins - Point to the picture and say Look, it’s a postcard! Ask Where is the postcard
from? to elicit Australia.
- Point out the word Australia and the koala bear on the stamp. Say These bears
are from Australia.

Draw and say individuals


Ask the students to draw a beach in Vietnam and write:

Review What’s missing? whole class
- Use crayons to play the game. Point to each crayon one at a time for children to say
the color words. Give the class a few seconds to look at them.
- Ask children to turn around. Remove a crayon.
3 mins
- Display the crayons again and ask What’s missing?
- When children have identified the missing crayon, shuffle the crayons again, and
repeat the procedure.

7 mins - Look at the pictures and ask students what they can see.
- Play the first part of the track
- Students point to the correct part of the pictures.
- Play the second part of the track for students to point and repeat the words.

- Point to the picture. Ask the class what they can see.
(balloons, notebooks, bears and apples, etc.)
- Say Let’s point! Play the track for children to point at the correct part of the
picture.
- Pause after each to make sure each child is pointing at the correct picture.
3. Point and say.
- Read the speech bubbles and ask the children to follow the words with their
fingers.

Pair/ group • Below level: Drill the mini-dialogue several times with the class, before calling Groups/pairs
practice on individual pairs to act out the dialogue with a colored pencil.
