A. PREPARATION & INSTALLATION

1. Ensure that the material is as per approved material submittal.

2. Ensure drawings used for installation are current and approved.

3. Check that only properly fabricated fittings are used for change in directions,
shapes, sizes, and connections.
4. The joints and flanges are correctly made, jointed, and sealed (All transverse
joints and longitudinal seams ).
Check that duct joints are sealed externally before applying insulation with

approval sealant.
6. Check fixing of supports and spacing as per approved drawings & submittal.

7 check sleeves are installed for ducts passing through walls/partitions as

required / as per approved drawings.

8 Check acoustic lining is properly fastened and undamaged.

Insulation is applied as per manufacturer's instructions and finished smooth

and straight without any damages.

Check nuts, bolts, screws, brackets drop rods etc, are tight and aligned

properly.

All the access doors, fire dampers, VCD's, VAV etc. are installed as per
11 approved drawings specifications and manufacturer’s instructions as
applicable.

12 Flexible duct connectors are provided at building expansion joints.

13 Ensure that the Identification & labeling are provided for duct works.
