All insulation and finishes shall be installed according to the manufacturer’s

recommendations.

A2 Verify that piping has been tested before applying insulation materials.

Verify that surfaces are clean from foreign material and dry prior to installing

insulation.

A4 Insulation shall slip on pipes and not cut as far as applicable except on fittings.

A5 Insulation thickness is as per project specification.

Verify that insulation is continuous through walls, sleeves, pipe hangers, and

other pipe penetrations.

Provide insulation protection shields on all insulated pipe between the pipe
insulation and the pipe support. Insulation shield shall be galvanized carbon

steel ribbed shields gauge 18 designed to prevent damage to insulation by
support.
