QUARTER 1
1 and 0 - these are the numbers that make up the binary system.
bits - these are the codes of 1s and 0s
Computers are made up of:
hardware - these are the ones that you can touch (like Television set, laptop,etc.)
software - these are the ones that you cannot touch (like the shows that we watch on TV, laptop,etc.)
- it makes the computer run.
output devices - allow you to get information from the computer in different forms. (speaker & monitor)
input devices - allow you to put data into the computer. (mouse & keyboard)
central processing unit (CPU) - the "brain" of the computer.
- it processes information inside the computer using software.
- it also uses software to control both input & output devices.
General purpose computers - have many uses.
Specific purpose computers - has only one special use.
Analog computer - reads data using electricity or rotating gears.
Digital computer - reads data in a form of bits.
Hybrid computer - a computer that is analog & digital.

AP - isang representasyon sa papel ng isang lugar na nagpapakita ng kabuuan at mga bahagi nito.
- ito ay isang patag na representasyon ng mundo o isang bahagi nito.

Kartograpo - tawag sa taong gumuguhit o gumagawa ng mapa.
Mga simbolo sa mapa - ito ay ginagamit upang ipahiwatig ang mga katangian at iba pang impormasyon
ukol sa mga lugar.
- nagtuturo ito ng eksaktong kinalalagyan ng isang lugar at ng mga matatagpuan dito.
Isla - ito ang anyong lupa na napapaligiran ng mga tubig.
Compass Rose - ang simbolong ito ang nagpapakita ng mga deriksyon sa mapa.
- mahalagang gamit sa pagtukoy ng direksyon.

North Arrow - gabay sa map na nakaturo sa hilaga.
Distansya - ang layo ng isang lugar o bagay sa isa pang lugar o bagay.
Lokasyon - ito ay ang lugar na kinaroroonan na matutukoy sa tulong ng pagsasabi ng tiyak na direksyon.
Pananda o Legend - ito ang nagpapaliwanag kung ano ang mga simbolo o larawan sa mapa na may kahulugan.

2 Parts of Sentence
Subject (the naming part) - tells us who or what the sentence is all about.
Predicate (the telling part) - tells something about the subject of the sentence.
example: Subject Predicate
Miguel and I are cousins.
Michael and Darla run in the park every morning.
I love to cook.
Analyze the picture and see study the difference of the SIMPLE and COMPLETE subject & predicate.
4 Kinds of Sentence
1. Declarative (.) - giving statement
2. Interrogative (?) - asking questions
3. Exclamative or Exclamation sentence (!) - to express strong feeling like anger, surprise or excitement.
4. Imperative (.) - giving command.
