how to fold your cootie catcher

Cut out the cootie Fold the square Fold the square
catcher square along diagonally. Match corner diagonally the other

how to use your cootie catcher
1.) Two students are needed to use the cootie catcher. Student
one will hold the four corners of the cootie catcher paper with
their index fingers and thumbs.
3.) Student one moves the cootie catcher by either spelling the
word or moving it based on the number of syllables in the word.
4.) On the last syllable or last letter of the word, student one keeps
the cootie catcher open.
8.) Student two has to say how the text feature helps readers.
9.) Student one lifts that text feature flap and checks student two’s
answer.
