Instance 1: - The first instance when Lisa and Linton were during their first conversation, Linton remarked

department, Lisa can make herself indispensable to Scoville help him with her inter personnel skills

The Hard tactics that Lisa could have Implemented are

1. Assertiveness: Lisa could have been more Assertive in her approach towards the opinion of Linton
on her MBA, Linton could be more assertive on commenting on bad work and time management of
Scoville.
2. Information Control: With her communication skill Lisa had a good relationship with

other departments as well, in some case work done by mail chain take more than the work

done on the trust, Lisa should have used the tactic not supporting to Scoville on getting relevant info though
her skills, some times which will lead to project delay only because of Scoville’s time management and
inability to handle people.

3. Silent Authority : She could have used this tactic on the incident of word processing and copying as it was
no the part of her job.

Yes, there was a breach of trust. Let’s see the incident below, Scoville was forcing Lisa to do his copying work.
Lisa was busy with her task, and she denied it. Then she got furious stating- “OH, I see, you’re good at
copying”. Scoville immediately complained to Liston stating the same words. This was going behind her back
and a clear breach of trust.

No, Lisa should continue in the current position of Assistant Product Manager at Houseworld.

Event thought Linton did not showed much interest in helping Lisa for her success in company but, there has
been an improvement in the relationship between Them and Lisa also openly communicated her needs and
expectations of work.

At the same time her relationship with Scoville has at least superficially improved since his apology over
drinks following the yelling incident. While Scoville is unlikely to be an ally in the future, the entire office is
aware of his management deficiencies and he has little ability to hold Benton back if she is willing and able to
reduce her dependence on him. Alongside Houseworld still offers that career progress path with proper
trainings which Lisa wanted.
