What I Have Learned

1. The background of the study is important because it provides the reader with a better
understanding of what led to the research. It helps them see how this research has been
conducted and any limitations that may have been encountered. It also helps your reader
determine if you have a basic understanding of the research problem being investigated and
promotes confidence in the overall quality of your analysis and findings.
2. Definition of Terms ensures that your readers will understand the components of your study in
the way that you will be presenting them, because often your readers may have their
understanding of the terms, or not be familiar with them at all. It also helps your reader to know
if you use that specific term in the operational and conceptual definition.
3. To do so diminishes the validity of your research because it leaves the reader wondering
whether, or in what ways, limitations in your study may have impacted the findings and
conclusions. Limitations require a critical, overall appraisal and interpretation of their impact.

What I Can Do
A. Background of the Study
1. Physics education for the twenty-first Century aims to foster high-end reasoning skills and promote
deep conceptual understanding. However, many traditional education systems place a strong
emphasis on only problem solving with the expectation that students obtain deep conceptual
understanding through repetitive problem-solving practices, which often doesn’t occur
(Alonso, 1992).
2. With changing student lifestyles and fast-developing technology, universities are increasingly
offering more “flexible” learning environments. Commensurate with the opportunities that
technological advances afford, for over a decade (Imel, 2002) the provision of online, e-learning
experiences has undergone rapid expansion in the higher education sector.
3. System induced stress is another type of stress identified by psychologists; System refers to
organizations like school, family, office and other such social structures, in which an individual
function. Life becomes tough if any of these structures are stress inducing. (Holahan,Charles, 1982]
This type of stress is highly relevant to under-developing societies in the context of changing
demands in the family and workplace. One group of society which is a victim of system induced
stress is the student community.Stress in academic institutions like schools also pertaining to science
and mathematics related subjects, students are tend to stress themselves. Common reasons of why
students are beingstressed are because of the strict deadlines, too many paper works, problem in
solving mathematically and many more. This stress may come small at first and become big in the
process of learning. The said causes of students’ stress are also causing them to gain failing grades.
4. While in the Philippines, there is no study about how effective was the deadline in measuring the
STEM student’s understanding on subject general physics.
5. The researchers intend to conduct this research to know, analyze, and describe the perceived
difficulties of Grade12 STEM students in solving and understanding General Physics II subject.

B. Significance of the Study

Title of the Study: The Effectiveness of Deadlines assigned to STEM students in General Physics II.
BENEFITS
Beneficiary 1: Students. During Modular Learning, students can be get insights and ideas how to
overcome problems in understanding General Physics II.
Beneficiary 2: Parents. Parents can gain insight on how they can further help the students to focus
on the new normal of education by providing what their children need.
Beneficiary 3: Teachers. Teachers can receive insight into how they can further assist students in
understanding their modules. They can also post a brief discussion on their group chat/page.
Beneficiary 4: Future Researchers. This study will serve as a reference and baseline information for
further develop on studies that are related to Effectiveness of Deadline with Regards to the
Understanding of STEM Students in General Physics II.

C. Scope and Delimitation

1. What is the topic of your study and the Effectiveness of deadline with regards to the
variables to be included? understanding of STEM students in general
physics II.
2. Why should your study be conducted? State My goal to achieve in this study is to help the
the objective. STEM students to have more understanding in
general physics II.
3. Where will your study be conducted? State My study will be conducted in Speaker Eugenio
the locale. Perez National Agricultural School (SEPNAS)
which is located at Roxas Boulevard, San Carlos
City, Pangasinan.
4. When will your study be conducted? State the The study will be conducted in March 2022 to
time frame. April 2022.
5. How will your study be conducted? State the The research design was non-experimental
research design, instrument and methodology.
The instrument was online survey questionnaire.
The methodology was quantitative research
