2021-22 Maximum Marks: 10

Multiple (Diverse)Assessment: Group Discussion /Presentation

Number of Students Participating: Group comprising of 7-8 students.

Duration of Project: Two weeks .

Chapters Covered: 1.Electricity

Topics (ANY ONE ) :

1.Invention of electric charge

1.OHMS LAW

2.Electrical Resistance of a material

3.Electrical Resistivity.

4.Combination of Resistors

5.Electric Power.

6.Heating Effect of Electric Current or any other related to the chapter.

Objective:

1. Creating Awareness that flow of electric charges is not possible without potential difference.

2. To understand the concept of electrical resistance in electric circuits.

3. TO understand role of electrical resisitivity in making use of a particular material.

4. TO COMPREHEND how knowledge of current and voltage distribution in electric circuits helps in

combining different resistors.

5. To help students appreciate the beauty of Physics by relating IT to everyday life.

Methodology of Activity:

i) Students will be divided into groups of 7 to 8 each and one topic will be assigned to a
particular group.
ii) ii) One person from each group will be the group leader who will help conduct the group
discussion.
iii) iii) Every student from each group will participate in the discussion on the given topic
and contribute to a part of the concept of the topic using his/her own ideas.
iv) Each group will be given 8-10 minutes and finally one student in the group will conclude
the topic.

Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to

i) Have a deeper understanding of the concept of electric current as an important tool

in understanding Electricity.
ii) think deeply about role of electrical resistance in everyday life.
iii) understand role of power of a device to its practical utility
iv ) understand that science is all around them and not just in a science classroom.

Rules of the Group Discussion:

1.Criticisim is not allowed: Adverse judgement of ideas must be withheld during
discussion
2.Being unconventional is welcome. Please share newviewpoints related to the topic.
3. The greater the number of ideas, the better the group discussion works.
4. Combination and improvement of ideas are sort: In addition to contributing ideas of
