4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity (5minutes).
Show to the class, a video entitled “The Beginning of the Universe”
 What are your learnings from the video on the beginning of the
universe?
 What do you know about the beginning of the universe?
 Do you want to know more of the different hypothesis of the origin of
the universe?
4.2 Activity (15 minutes) Students will be given 20 minutes to proceed to the different learning stations
assigned ahead of time.

4.3 Analysis (5minutes)  How did everything in the universe come to exist?
 What are the different theories on the origin of the universe?

4.4 Abstraction (10) minutes)  The origin of the universe can be explained using several theories
 The different theories are the following:
1. Big bang Theory – proposed by Georges Lemaitre, describes the
universe as originating from an infinitely tiny, infinitely dense
point or singularity between 13 to 14 billion years ago.
2. Steady State Theory – proposed by Fred Hoyle, Thomas Gold and
Herman Bondi. Predicted a universe that expanded but did not
change its density, matter was inserted into the universe as it
expanded in order to maintain a constant density.
3. Oscillating Theory – followed the general theory of relativity
equations of the universe with positive curvature.
4. Inflation Theory – sees our universe as just one of many “bubbles”
that grow as a part of the multiverse.
5. Divine Creation Theory – based from the narrative from Genesis
4.5 Application (15minutes) Group creative presentation on the assigned theory of the origin of the universe.

4.7 Assignment (1minutes). Fill-in below any of the four purposes:

 Reinforcing / strengthening the day’s lesson

 Enriching / inspiring the day’s lesson
 Enhancing / improving the day’s lesson
 Preparing for the new lesson Study about the different hypotheses explaining
the origin of the solar system
4.8 Concluding Activity (5 minutes).
This is usually a brief but affective closing activity such as a strong quotation, a How do you appreciate God in relation to the
short song, an anecdote, parable or a letter that inspires the learners to do Divine Creation Theory?
something to practice their new learning.
5. Remarks Indicate below special cases including but not limited to continuation of lesson plan to the
following day in case of re-teaching or lack of time, transfer of lesson to the following day, in cases
of class suspension, etc.

6. Reflections Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your student’s progress this
week. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students learn? Identify what help your
instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant
questions. Indicate below whichever is/are appropriate.
A.No. of learners who earned 80%
in the evaluation.
B.No. of learners who require
additional activities for
remediation.
C. Did the remedial lessons
work? No. of learners who have
caught up with the lesson.
D. No. of learners who
continue to require remediation.
E.Which of my learning strategies
worked well? Why did these
work?
F.What difficulties did I encounter
which my principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
G. What innovation or
localized materials did I
use/discover which I wish to
share with other teachers?
