AUDITION SCENE

CHARACTER NAME: VICTOR BAJWA

INT. BAJWA’S FARMHOUSE, LIVING ROOM - DAY

A large, open air style living room. Posh but friendly.Meghna and Beniwal wait. Next to them -
an untouched food trolley. A STAFF hangs at a respectable distance.The silence broken by an
approaching voice. It’s Bajwa. Meghna watches him as he waves and sits down.

BAJWA
(on the phone) I’m not hearing any of that, Kapoor.
Shalu and you have to be here for the party, ok?
Chal later.

He turns to Meghna. Smiles.

BAJWA (CONT'D)
Sorry to keep you waiting, Ma’am.
Aapne kuchh liya nahi?

Meghna doesn’t waste any time in coming to the point.

MEGHNA
Hum ek foreigner ka murder case investigate kar rahe hain.

BAJWA
I was told. Club mein kuchh pata chala?

MEGHNA
Pata chalta uske pehle hee aapke manager ne aap
ko phone laga diya.

Bajwa lets out a hearty laugh.

BAJWA
He was just following the protocol, Ma’am. (beat)

understand ki club mein har week hazaaron log -

MEGHNA
Shaayad wo dancer thhi. Ho sakta hai aapke club
mein bhi perform kiya ho.

BAJWA

event planner se outsource karte hain. Sudhanshu
will give you the details.

He points to the waiting staff to follow the instructions. Meghna nods. Rises.

BAJWA (CONT'D)
Kuchh to lijiye, Ma’am. Warna aapke seniors kahenge
Bajwa hospitality bhool gaya

Meghna looks at him. Smiles.

MEGHNA
Suna aapki hospitality bahot addictive hai, Mr Bajwa.
Isliye dar lagta hai.

She turns around and walks out
