Ensuring a “Great place to learn!”
Attendance & Punctuality
Outstanding attendance is expected but
if you are absent or late please phone the
relevant member of staff by 9.30am to give
reasons for your absence or lateness. If you are
more than 15 minutes late you will not be
permitted in to the session.
Mobile Phones
Phones are to be kept on silent in bags
unless directed by staff for use
related to a class task. If a phone is
seen, you can hand in your phone for
the session or you will be asked to
leave the lesson.
Earphones, Earpods and iPods
To ensure all learners can listen
and discuss points when learning,
learners are asked not to wear these
during lessons unless given
specific permission by staff
Smoking
Thank you for only smoking in designated
smoking areas.
Swearing
Thank you for speaking with
polite and respectful language
at all times.
PPE & Uniform
PPE & uniform are an expectation
in some areas. Incorrect uniform will lead
to you being sent out of the lesson to
work elsewhere. Dress in a professional
way, smart casual attire and some level of
modesty particularly in the Summer months.

Food & Drink
Only to be eaten in outside spaces or
the refectory or canteen areas.
Bottled water can be consumed
in lessons.
Coats, Hats & Liveried Hoodies
Hoodies should be down when in
lessons. Coats should also be
removed when the room temperature
is acceptable.
Student IDs
You are expected to wear this
around site for the purposes
of safeguarding, although not when
doing practical sessions for health
and safety reasons. It is important for
both students and staff to have this
on display at all times and not
obstructed by clothing or other items
especially when moving between areas.
Bullying, Fighting and Harassment
(including through social media)
We want everyone on the campus to
feel safe. It is our duty of care to
ensure everyone is safeguarded
and people are treated with respect
and appreciation of all characteristics
associated with diversity. Thank you
for treating others as you wish to
be treated.
Drug-free Zone
The College does not tolerate any
alcohol or drug use. Any involvement
in either will be followed by a Level 3
Disciplinary which may result in a
learner being withdrawn from college.
Vehicles/Modes of Transport
Allowing you and your mode of
transport on our campus is a
privilege, so thank you for respecting
others and travelling safely. Follow
all signage at all times, and ensure
lessons and our neighbours are not
disturbed by any excessive noise.
