Rule-01: Simple present + s/es +obj.
Formation: Sub + V1 + s/es (if necessary) +
obj.
Ex: Rana sings a song.
Rule-02: Adverbs like always, regularly,
generally, usually, normally, daily,
occasionally, every day, sometimes, and
often.
Formation: Sub + v1 + (s/es) + obj.
Ex: He always irritates me. Rana sings a
song
Rule-03:
a. Singular subject + singular verb.
b. Plural subject + Plural verb
Ex: The rich (to be) always happy.
A pen (to be) mightier than a sword.
Rule-04:
a. While + v + ing + next clause

Rule-05: No sooner had……………..than
Formation: No sooner had + sub. + V3 +

Rule-06: Can, could, may, might, shall,
should, will, would, must, ought to, have to.
Formation: Sub. + can + v1 + obj.
Ex: can (sing) a song.
Rule-07: Interrogative sentences started with
interrogative pronoun – like, what, which,
when, how, and where etc.
Formation: Int. pronoun + AV (according to
tense) + sub + MV + obj. +?
Ex: What you want?
Rule-08: As if/ as though
Formation: a. Sub + simple present + as if/as
though + (to be) were + obj.
Ex: He pretends as if he (to be) a king.
b. Sub. + Simple present + as if/as though +
(action verb) V2 + obj.
Ex: He talks as if he (know) everything.
2nd structure: Sub + simple past + as if/as
though + sub + had + V3 + obj.
Ex: He talked as if he (know) everything.
