Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

Refer to: Jacking and Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

2. Remove the automatic transmission.

Refer to: Transmission (307-01 Automatic Transmission - 10-Speed Automatic Transmission - 10R80,
Removal and Installation).

3.
l NOTE: Do not reuse the flexplate bolts.

Remove the bolts and the flexplate.

l Discard the bolts.

Installation

1.
l NOTE: Special bolts are used for installation. Do not use standard bolts.

Install the flexplate and the new bolts finger-tight.

l Install Special Service Tool: 303-103 (T74P-6375-A) Holding Tool, Flywheel.
l Tighten the bolts in sequence shown.
Torque:
Stage 1: 37 lb.ft (50 Nm)
Stage 2: 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)
Stage 3: 83 lb.ft (112 Nm)

2. Install the automatic transmission.

Refer to: Transmission (307-01 Automatic Transmission - 10-Speed Automatic Transmission - 10R80,
Removal and Installation).

3. Use the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Misfire Monitor Profile Correction routine in the diagnostic
scan tool.
