Holding Wrench, Pulley

Removal

1. Remove the upper cooling fan shroud.

Refer to: Cooling Fan Upper Shroud (303-03 Engine Cooling - 2.3L EcoBoost (201kW/273PS), Removal
and Installation).

2.
l Detach the wiring harness retainers.
l Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Remove the studbolt.

Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

4. NOTE: Take extra care not to damage the electrical connector.

Using the special tools, remove the cooling fan and clutch.
Use Special Service Tool: 303-1692 Holding Wrench, Pulley.
Torque: 81 lb.ft (110 Nm)

5. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Remove the bolts and separate the cooling fan from the cooling fan clutch.
Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
