“Fool is the one who admires other cities without having seen Rome”.
Petrarch
Three years ago I traveled to Europe to visit my boyfriend and I visited cities in different
countries.
Rome is an Italian city with more than three million inhabitants. In Rome the four seasons are
lived, the summer is usually quite intense and sticky; The autumn is perfect to know the city by
its very favorable temperatures; IN spring it is to enjoy the beauty and the natural aroma of the
flowers, trees and flowery gardens. I was in winter, the winter is usually very cold and rainy, the
average temperatures in the winter months are 5 degrees or less.
The most beautiful and exciting for me is Vatican City, the best attractions are St. Peter's Square
(Piazza San Pietro), St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums.
The most delicious food is pasta, wine and pizza and there are good and cheap restaurants.
The accommodation is very easy to book online, there are hotels, hostels very cheap and
comfortable.

4
To get around the city we use the metro, but there are also tour buses that are highly
recommended for tourists.
The most interesting and beautiful city that I knew was Rome.

2. SPEAKING ACTIVITY
2.1. When you have to answer questions (in an interview or in an international exam), you have
to show willingness to speak at length. Do not answer with just 1 or 2 words. Give specific
details.
2.2. Interact with learning object 6 to understand what you have to do in the speaking activity.
2.3. On the link https://bit.ly/2SNIj9x you will learn how to use Vocaroo, an online voice
recorder tool.
2.4 Choose only one of the following topics and answer the 3 questions. Remember it is a
speaking activity. Follow the recommendations given in the instructions above. Do not read any
script. Develop your ideas in a natural way.

For the activity I chose the Topic 2.

Question 1: Do you have a balanced diet? Why?

Yes, my diet is balanced, I usually eat fruits and vegetables. My breakfasts are healthy, and
contain the energy necessary to work throughout the day. I don't eat too much sugar, and my
meals are low in fat.

Question 2: What kind of food do you eat? Where?

I like food prepared at home, I usually eat fruits and vegetables, salads with natural ingredients. I
prepare the food at home, but sometimes I go to restaurants.

Question 3: How often do you eat out? When? Where?

5
I rarely eat out, but some days I have to eat lunch at work. Other times, we go to a restaurant to
celebrate my friends' birthdays. On special days we can go for coffee, or cook at my best friends'
house.

3. SELF-ASSESSMENT.

During the development of guide two, I had difficulty with the use of Modal CAN/CAN'T to
express abilities and the use of uncountable and countable nouns, but practicing the activities
once and twice was better.
I must improve in: vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking.

4. CONCLUSIONS

At the end of the guide, I consider that I have improved my vocabulary knowledge. I like to
develop the guides of the topic Comparatives where they interact with the learning object 1 to
become familiar with the comparative in order to learn object 2 to understand spelling rules with
comparative forms. But I have to practice more on speaking fluently and without text support.
