A brief biography of Hazrat Reza Moula Sahab

Hyderabad

Hazrat’s name was Syed Shah Ali Reza Hussaini, and his
patronymic name was Reza Moula. He was born in Hyderabad
in the year 1144 Hijiri. And he obtained the excellence of
devotion and the caliphate from his father. His father’s name
was Hazrat Shamsuddin Hussaini Nemat Ilahi, and his
patronymic name was Shams Moula. And upon the death of his
father, he sat on the seat of his caliphate for a period of one year.
And after that, he became a Majzub (dauntless) person, and he
remained in such condition for a period of 12 years. Hazrat’s
younger brother, whose name was Syed Ali, was imprisoned in
the room, and food and water began serving him through the
hole in the room for him.
During this time, his brother occupied the shrine building and
hill area (Phadi Sharif), and he was his brother's attorney and
adovcate. He began performing annual Urs and duties as the
custodian at the shrine building. But when the period of 12 years
was over, Hazrat came out of his condition of dauntless, and his
brother kept him continuing in prison in the room. Hazrat’s
younger son, Syed Ahmed, and his patronymic name, Shah
Meran, went in the presence of the Nizam of Hyderabad, Asif
Jah II, and was able to free him from the prison and sit him in
the seat of the caliphate.

Hazrat Reza Moula used to go to the Makkah mosque in

Hyderabad for Friday congregational prayers some times. And
he used to sit under a big banyan tree there, and there used to
come generals and royal family people to meet with him and
offer him gifts and presents. There were such a large number of
generals and people from royal palaces there that it became
difficult for him to meet all the people. Then the Nawab of
Hyderabad, Asif Jaha II, had great devotion to the Hazrat. And
Hazratt used to call Nawab Sahab Patel. Hazrat used to come for
Friday prayer in Hyderabad, and then after prayer he used to go
see Zulfiqar Ali Shah, the custodian in the locality of Hussaini
Alam, a disciple and a fakir person, and Hazrat stayed with him
one night in his house, and then he used to go to the Phadi Sharif
area. For that day, the Nawab of Hyderabad, Asif Jah II,would
send 25 trays of food dishes to Hussaini Alam Ashure Khana for
the sake of Hazrat's hospitality.
Hazrat was away from the world and its people. He was away
from the world and its people. He always wore a red dress on his
body. And Hazrat used to wear a conical cap on his head and
hold a sword of the Absiad kind. He has a fondness for scents,
dance, and music. This is an event on one day when Hazrat did
not eat food from the morning time to the last part of the night.
And he was in a condition of worry and anxiety. He was reciting
something in the mosque while holding beads in his hands. And
he was reciting something slowly with his tongue, and in the late
night, he asked his servant to bring him food, saying, "There
was favour of Allah for the Patel."
At that time, Darwesh Hasas asked him, " Oh Hazrat Moula,
what happened that you are in a state of restlessness and worry
4

and you have ignored two meals?" This servant has not seen
such  condition of worry with you before " " Hazrat said that
"Patel was worried very much but now there was added favour
of Allah in this matter and now there is no worry in this matter."
So it was known later that there was a battle of Khadla between
Pandit Pardhan, ruler of Puna, and Nawb of Hyderabad, Asif Jah
II, on the 18th Shaban in the year 1209 Hijiri, corresponding to
1795 A.D. In the last part of the night, Nawab Sahab of
Hyderabad, Asif Jah II, entered Khadla and the battle was
finished.
In short, it's about revelation, miracles, and supernatural acts of
the Hazrat. There are many traditions and stories that are well
known and famous and which are found in the records.
Death : Hazrat left this mortal world on the 20th Ramadan in the
year 1215 Hijiri, which corresponds to 1800 A.D. at the age of
71 years. He was buried near his father’s grave in Phadi (hills
area), and upon his death, his son Syed Ahmed, with his
patronymic name Shah Meran, became his successor after him.
In the book Hadiqa Rahmani, his death date was written as 18 th
Ramadan, but we accept reference from the books "Gulzar
Asfia" and "Auliya Deccan", and in the handwritten diaries of
his family, 20th Ramadan was written as his date of death. See
"Gulzar Asfia" page 343, "Auliya Deccan Part One" page 558,
and Hadiqa Rahamani page 730.
Hazrat's Grave: Hazrat’s grave is situated in the Phadi Sharif
area adjacent to the mosque in the retangular room and its
dimensions are as follows.
