General Guidelines
Guidelines This document contains minimum guidelines for telephone, data, video
and other general telecommunications ICT distribution system.
These guidelines are general in nature and may be modified as necessary
to accommodate special design or functional requirements.
Wiring standards are dynamic and constantly changing due to continually
evolving network standards.
In some buildings (i.e. existing, etc.), ICT needs to customize CEF and
risers.
Requirements Basic requirement for new buildings structures includes the following:
underground service entrance ducts
telecommunications rooms
conduit riser systems
horizontal cable distribution system
building wiring
Existing building renovation or expansion may or may not necessarily require the
construction of new telecommunications rooms and duct bank.
Recommendation The ICT Group shall review if there is a need for the construction of new
telecommunications rooms and duct bank. If deemed needed, construction of such
shall then be recommended.
Distribution System
