Poet also use figurative language or figure of speech to express ideas and feelings. As you have
learned, figure of speech includes similes, metaphors, and personification.
Simile – compare one thing to another using the words like, as, or as though.
Metaphors – compare one thing to another indirectly or through hidden comparisons.
Personification – is when a writer gives an object, human qualities.
