Pursuant to June 20, 2012, DepEd Order No. 63, s.2012 Guidelines on the Preparation of
Gender and Development (GAD) Plans, Utilization of GAD budgets and Submission of
Accomplishment Reports, Talisay Senior High School staff will conduct a training focusing
on Introduction to GAD Concepts and Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression
and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) on May 27-29, 2022 at Baguio City, Philippines.

In connection with this, we are humbly seeking your approval in this said outdoor activity. We
consider that this training would be helpful in our organization, the teachers and non-
teaching staff relationship, their duties, and responsibilities among their students in dealing
with social problems particularly with gender issues. Your comments and suggestion are

RATIONALE (Includes legal basis) The Philippine National Government through Executive
Order No. 273 mandates that all government agencies shall
integrate Gender and Development (GAD) concerns in their
plans, activities, programs and projects.
Relative to this, the Department of Education created
DepEd Memorandum No. 88 s. 2018 known as Conduct of
GAD activities which serve as guidelines in school conduct of
Gender and Development seminar.
A continuous GAD training for the personality and
professional development in the awareness and capabilities of
the educators is done to bring about personal or organizational
change for gender equality in the education system.

ENABLING OBJECTIVES:

1. To enhance understanding of basic GAD- related


concepts, explain how social institutions contribute to
the perpetration of gender bias and develop an
awareness on gender sensitivity
2. To differentiate sexual orientations, gender identities,
and gender expressions, and appreciate the importance
of SOGIESC in the advocacy on gender equality and
women’s empowerment (GEWE)

1. Responsible for the arrangement of tables and chairs in the session

participants.
3. Sees to it that the stage is decorated according to the event.
4. Outlines/creates tarp design if needed.
5. Prepares and operates the sound system and projector for the entire
duration of the training.
6. Coordinates with the secretariat regarding the flow of the program.
7. In-charge of coordinating with the venue HR Officer

FINANCE OFFICER

1. Responsible for the preparation of documents with regards to payment


for the venue, food, transportation, etc.
2. Coordinates with the venue coordinator regarding the selection,
preparation and serving of foods to the facilitators and participants.

MEDICAL OFFICER:

1. Ensures the health conditions of the participants.


2. Provides first aid and immediately attends to participants needing
medical attention.
3. Reports participants' health problems to the training management
team.
