PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter specifies the presentation and analysis of data that are followed by an

interpretation of the evaluated data. The data were to analyze, describe and determine the

effectiveness of using lemongrass, oregano and honey on initiating microbial inhibition.

It shows the following: (1) description of the hand sanitizer in terms of science

connectivity, innovation, advantages to the people and the environment, apperance and

effectiveness; effectiveness of using lemon grass, honey and oregano on initiating

microbial inhibition and in making hand sanitizer.

Science Connectivity

It is the state or action of being connected to science wherein it links ideas about

the subject matter. In this study, science connectivity is how the product is connected to

science and if the product undergoes and tackles science.

Table 1 shows the summary of description about the science connectivity of the

hand sanitizer wherein it is consisting of three statements. The table of the science

connectivity shows an overall mean of 4. 05 with a verbal description of Very Good. In

the first statement which is the “The Product tackles about different compounds” has a

mean of 4.60 with a verbal description of Excellent, “The product shows relativity to

science” marks a mean of 4.35 with a verbal description of Very Good, “The project

proceeds to an observation” gathers a mean of 4.05 with a verbal description of Very

Good and “The Project has chemical composition” has a mean of 3.2 with a verbal

description of Good.

Innovation

Innovation is the practical implementation of ideas that result in the introduction

of new goods or improvement in offering goods in services. The innovation in this study

is on how the Hand sanitizer is created differently and designed to be an alternative way

of making a disinfectant at home.

The hand sanitizer was verbally described excellent with following statement; (1)

“The project initiates a new product” and (2) “The product was unique” have a mean of

4.6 and 4.5. The statement “The project shows refinement” and “The project innovation

shows development” gathers a mean of 3.75 and 4.2 respectively with a verbal

description of Very Good. The Overall Mean of this term is 4.26 with a verbal

description of Very Good.

Advantage to the People and the Environment

Table 1.3 shows the advantages of the Hand Sanitizer to the People and the

Environment. Alternative materials especially materials that came from nature in making

a disinfectant help the environment together with the people for its cleaning agent

especially in ties of pandemic.

The mean of 4.15 with the verbal description of Very Good the evaluators tells

that the project has benefit for them. The statement “The project helps to protect the

Environment” gathers a mean of 4 with verbal description of Very Good together with

statement “It is effective in engaging individuals to empower science” and “The project
gives people idea on making disinfectant using natures element” which tallies a mean of

4.35 and 4.3 with the Overall mean of 4.2 with a verbal description of Very good.

Appearance

The appearance is the state, condition, manner or style in which a person or an

object appears. The appearance in this study is about the physical form of the Hand

sanitizer and how does the evaluators appreciate the form of the product.

The table 1.5 shows the description of the hand sanitizer in terms of appearance

with the overall mean of 3.99 with the description of Very Good. The first statement

“The project’s odor is pleasant” gathers a mean of 4.05 with a verbal description of Very

Good. With a mean of 4.67 the statement “The project was made up of natural

ingredients” was the only one to get a verbal description of Excellent in this Term. The

statement “The project was Appealing and “The project was presentable” gathers a mean

of 3.75 and 3.50 with the verbal description of Very Good.

Effectiveness

Effectiveness is the capability of producing a desired result or the ability to

produce desired output. In this study the effectiveness is about the hand sanitizer showing

benefits.

The overall mean of this term is 4.36 with the verbal description of Very Good.

The first statement “The project shows the project shows the product specification”

gathers a mean of 4.70 with the verbal description of Excellent together with “The project

shows an alternative way for making hand sanitizer with a mean of 4.5. With the mean of
4.25 and 4 the statements “The project shows an effective result” and “The product was

essential to used” have a verbal description of Very Good.

Table 2 shows the description of the hand sanitizer on its effectiveness use. The

project’s purpose was to be an alternative way on making a disinfecting agent. The

overall mean of this term is 4.36 with the verbal description of Very Good. The first

statement “The project shows the project shows the product specification” gathers a mean

of 4.70 with the verbal description of Excellent together with “The project shows an

alternative way for making hand sanitizer with a mean of 4.5. With the mean of 4.25 and

4 the statements “The project shows an effective result” and “The product was essential

to used” have a verbal description of Very Good.

Table 3 presents the summary of all the calculated mean scores which comes from

the gathered data or evaluation of the evaluators of the product that were shown from the

previous table. Summary are used to summarize a set of observations in order to

communicate the largest amount of information as simply as possible. All of the

summarize description gathers a verbal description of Very Good with the mean of 4.05,

4.26, 4.2, 3.99, 4.36 respectively and with Overall Mean of 4.17 with a Verbal

Description of Very Good.

SUMMARY OF THE FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter presents the summary and conclusions of the gathered data from the

outcome of the study hoping to improve the hand sanitizer. It also includes the

recommendations needed to develop by the evaluators in using lemon grass, oregano and

honey on initiating microbial inhibition and making hand sanitizer.

Summary of the Finding

This product was created to determine the effectiveness of using lemon grass,

oregano and honey on initiating microbial inhibition and in making hand sanitizer

wherein it is aimed to described the hand sanitizer in terms of science connectivity,

innovation, advantage to the people and the environment, appearance and effectiveness.

In addition, this project is created to determine the effectiveness of using lemongrass,

oregano and honey on initiating microbial inhibition and in making hand sanitizer.

The study revealed that the evaluators were links with science because of the

materials that is used especially that it came from nature and help them to gain an idea to

create an alternative way of disinfecting agent especially in this time of pandemic. The

study was verbally described as very good in terms of science connectivity, innovation,
advantage to the people and the environment, appearance and effectiveness with a mean

of 4.05, 4.26, 4.2, 3.99, 4.36 respectively with the mean of 4.17. Therefore, the natural

ingredients from this product are effective that are tested by few people of Purok 3,

Bancay 1st, Camiling, Tarlac which can help to fight the pandemic that is encountered

during these days.

Conclusions

Based on the results of the study, the following conclusion are drawn:

1. The hand sanitizer is Very Good in terms of science connectivity, innovation,

advantage to the people and the environment, appearance and effectiveness.

2. The use of lemon grass, oregano and honey on initiating microbial inhibition

and in making hand sanitizer is effective.

Recommendation

1. The product needs an improvement on drying duration

2. The product needs to be refined, presentable

3. The product must be utilized the exact measurement of all the materials that is

used in preparing the product.
