KURT LEWIN'S THREE STEP MODEL
Kurt Lewin - First researcher to examine organizational change and develop a model for planned change

His Observation :

1. People (Majority) prefer to stay within the safe zones and are reluctant to change
2. Change Process - Driving Force and Opposing Force (Force Field Theory)

Effective Change Plan

1. Normal tendency to depend only on increasing the Driving Force to overcome the Opposing Force
2. Leads to failed results as the reaction of Opposing Force becomes even harder (Supported by Newton's Law)
3. Better option is to reduce the strength of Opposing Power as well
4. Done by Unfreeze , Change , Freeze Method
UNFREEZE , CHANGE , REFREEZE
