THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK
What is positive feedback?
The positive feedback means of appreciating one’s
behavior. This act is complementing and uplifting the
one who does the action. Giving positive feedback
to someone can boost his/her morale and will have
a great impact to his/her performance status. A
learner who can experience this kind of feedback
will be motivated and encouraged to do more
progressive output.
STEPS IN GIVING POSITIVE FEEDBACK
There are four steps in giving positive feedback.
1. Reception- it is a process of respecting one’s
feedback.
2. Recognition- this step is concerned with ensuring
the recipient recognizes the feedback.
3. Acceptance – this step is one empathy, helping
another person come to terms with the effect of
the feedback.
4. Motivation - the receiver of feedback can makes
evaluation of personal benefits to change and
decides if it is worthwhile to make effort.
