OTHER COMMENTS:
The class started quickly and efficiency with a prayer, checking of attendance, and review of the past lesson.
Youtube video about Calamansi Juice Making was presented to introduce the lesson about patalastas and let
the learners to answer the questions about it. A comprehensive discussion and smooth delivery of the lesson
was evidently observed.
Differentiated activities were utilized to address the different capabilities and needs of the learners. The
learners expressed their understanding by doing the activities provided by the teachers. Learners’ active
participation and involvement was evident and appreciated by the teacher.
The teacher elicited higher order thinking questions to deepen their understanding and used different video
clips that within the comprehension and context of the learners to easily understand and grasp the lesson.
Moreover, the teacher let the learners’ construct a simple patalastas of their own related to their real-life
experiences then processed the output at once. A rubric for scoring was used to give appropriate score for the
learner’s output.
To generalize the lesson, the teacher instructed to complete the concept by filling out with the correct and
appropriate words then she let the learners to read the formed concept.
For the assessment, the learners were instructed to write a short resipe and patalastas to persuade and
encourage people to patronize it.
For the reflection, the learners were encouraged to assess their level of performance using the provided
indicators as well as to write their feelings and realization using the prompt provided.
Over-all, mastery of the lesson was evident. Appreciation and praises were also evident to inspire and
motivate learners to strive and learn more.
