TOPIC: INTRODUCTION TO SACRED SCRIPTURE

Module Duration: 2nd Week


Overview:
This introductory topic will be focusing on several important areas that will cater
fundamental knowledge on the significance of Scripture. Sub-topics are the following
 Scripture as God’s Revelation
 What is Scripture?
 Sacred Scripture in the Life of the Church
 Popular quotations of Saints in relation to Scripture
 Scripture and Tradition
 The Canons of Scriptures

Desired Learning Outcome (ILO):


At the end of the topic, student must have:
 Discussed some selected quotes from popular saints on the significance of the
Scripture.
 Compared and contrasted Scripture and Tradition using a Venn Diagram
 Classified the Canons of Scriptures
 Summarized the whole topic using the format of the learning journal.
