Exercise 1.

1
Construction of Frequency Distribution Table

FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTION TABLE

Class Count/Frequency Percentage
10-19 6 12
20-29 12 24
30-39 10 20 • There are 5 classes with 10 Class Range
40-49 8 16 each.
50-59 14 28 • On the Raw Data, the Highest Score is 59
Total 50 100
and the Lowest
Score is 15.
• We need to determine these numbers so we can get the Distribution Range.
[Formula: High Score – Low Score] 59 – 15 = 44 (the distribution range is 44)
• We will then divide the distribution range (44) to the number of classes (5). The total is 8.8
[round off] so we got 9 – the total will determine which number we will start from our class
interval, the reason we jumped to 10 (class limit) instead of starting from 1. [10-19,20-29 and so
on]
• Getting the Frequency (Count) is like doing a score card record. Those 50 raw data will be
recorded to each class limit depending on which bracket they belong. [ex: numbers 10-19 will
be listed to Class 10-19 bracket because on raw data, there are 6 numbers from 10-19. The
same process will be going to happen to the remaining class range.
High Number: 79
Low Number: 20 Interval: 12
Range: 59

Class Frequency Percentage

20-31 25 25
32-43 19 19
44-55 16 16
56-67 26 26
68-79 14 14
Total 100 100

Exercise 2
Formula:

(10×54+28×32+39×51+49×50+48×56+37×46+19×19+22×53+25×45+24×55) /
(10+28+39+49+48+37+19+22+25+24) = 47.29900332

Sum: 301
Weighted Average: 47.299
