How Globalized is my Home?


Instructions:
1. Go to your room and do an inventory of everything you have in possession. You will find out that the
most essential among the “things” in your room are footwear, clothes, computers (if any), cell phones,
television (if possible), and maybe a radio. You may also find books, newspapers, news magazines, not
to mention school supplies and equipment if you are a student.
2. Take a photo and organize your inventory into two types: first, “things” that are made in the Philippines
and second, those that are of foreign brands. List the countries of origin of your foreign-brand items.
3. List and take a photo at least 10 items for foreign brands, and 10 for local products.
4. Do the same thing for the kitchen and the living room. These should include appliances.
5. After illustrating and listing them. Answer the question in 50 words.

Why certain products are made in the Philippines while others are produced abroad?

There are things that were locally made because the materials to be used are readily
available. Also, there are citizens know how to make these things and sell it at an
affordable prices. Those things that were made abroad are things that the Philippines
cannot produce due to lack of facilities and advance technologies.
